It’s disappointing … Megyn Kelly went on the Hodgetwins. Only a few weeks prior, the twins hosted Dan Bilzerian and spent most of that episode bashing Erika Kirk in a pretty ugly way. Look, she can obviously appear wherever she wants. But it makes you wonder: Why choose to publicly associate with guys who treat widows with so little respect? Why laugh and build rapport with people who behave that way? I personally avoid associating with people whose behavior and language toward others crosses certain lines.

Regardless of the outcome of Spencer Pratt’s race, what he’s doing is authentically American. See a problem, become a part of the solution. His campaign ads are unconventional, but that’s the point; it’s refreshing. Instead of speaking like a career politician, he’s speaking as an American who sees and deeply understands how fragile the simple things in life are when leadership fails. This is what this country is all about. Citizens willing to step into the political arena, unafraid, and challenge a failing system, much like the one that has destroyed Los Angeles. I hope moments like this inspire more Americans to throw their names into the mix, run for office, get involved and stand up for what makes this country exceptional.

This is already backfiring. Soon people will realize that the government needs the illusion of legitimacy more than we need to be brow beaten (literally) by Ben Shapiro about how we need to bring back the draft. There’s a reason they love democracy. It’s so half the country blames the other for the decision of the oligarchs. Kings actually have to do what people want or they get directly blamed and there’s a history of things not going great when people get pissed off. Even more threatening than violence or over throw would be people just productively reestablishing local relationships and start viewing these lying cowards as a nuisance and shitty reality television. Consent laundering only works if people believe their vote matters. Trump is charismatic, can read trends, can appear to be whatever his target wants him to be, but he doesn’t understand actual history or state craft. He’s a New York City real estate thug who can strong arm construction guys and leverage bankers but he is way out of his league when it comes to actual governance.
