A “good” meditation is one where u r unaware of time, it’s like a costume, something u slip in and out of. As a result a 2 hr meditation flies by in a second. Note bene: there is no “bad” meditation - the distracted ones r leading u somewhere.

Eventually it will tailor to your actual taste, especially when your taste falls outside the usual preset categories. Food: plan the weekly shopping, build the menu, adjust it based on what each family member needs physically right now, pull recipes from what worked before. Health: track current health tasks for the whole family, book needed tests, maintain a health diary.Planning: vacations, camps, longer school projects, big test preps like the SAT. Coordination: pickups, dropoffs, sleepovers.

Did a small intro session on Claude's SMB tools for a group of local business owners today. Few people showed up and none of them bought it. The creative ones don't want AI-generated anything near their work, almost militantly. One person said she's just scared of technology even though she runs a business with 6 employees, and is a mother and talked about being overwhelmed. All were really guarded. And the distrust is probably about both, about being sold another vendor tool but also AI itself.

Such a great list of tools for parents who want to boost their kids' education.

What’s so funny to me about this whole idea that you need a big house to have kids thing is these people don’t realize the family spends 99% of awake time in 20% of the house.

Looks great! Congrats! One note: the demo is a bit overwhelming (might be just the ad). I’d personally prefer a much simpler UI, just one prompt, for example. I meditate a lot, so I’m very aware of being overstimulated. My 12-year-old set his iphone to BW for the same reason. Might not be your ICP, but wanted to share.

Not buying from @ZARA online again anytime soon. They switched to a new courier - Pudo, without letting me know upfront at checkout. Not only do they charge for the return in general, but also, the carrier is not easily available in my area. I have already wasted close to an hour trying to figure this out, and ofc, the online support is not helpful, giving me generic answers. So much friction was added to the return process, such an unpleasant experience.

Filing taxes using TurboTax is buggy and unpleasant. IRS would win big if they build an AI-enabled process to file our taxes for free. It really should be this difficult for me to send my money to my government.

When you deal with a doctor, it's so clear that you are not the customer. And that skewed relationship where the insurance or the pharma is the real customer, defines all inputs and outputs. The patient has to be the one paying to change how well the medical system performs.

Most doctors r optimizing for keeping you alive or resolving an acute issue. Unless the test is clinically in the red, it won't be flagged or discussed. But 99% of the time is spent in that suboptimal state, trying to get to the optimal one. And here, you are alone with your AI of choice. At least for now.

Google should add .md converter from google docs, to and from. Specific use case for me: a readable PRD and the ability to natively save it as .md file.
