As we kick off the Game Acceleration movement (g/acc), we wanted to highlight one of the most compelling teams we met during prep for the Solana Breakout Hackathon: @MadSquadGame – a shooter game with a real shot at onboarding Web2 gamers into Web3. Here’s why they stood out: MadSquad isn’t trying to “educate” users into crypto. They’re meeting players where they are — with a solid, fast-paced shooter — and slowly pulling them in via a Web2-style Battle Pass that just happens to unlock Web3 perks: tokens, digital assets, and more. It’s sticky. And it’s exactly the kind of crossover design the space needs more of. Shoutout to the team
