@fkhanage Such a shame because half of us would love to take our kids to the parade but won't due to crowd and perhaps being overwhelming...on the telly it shall be sadly..

I still think the club should’ve done a Members’ event at Emirates for a trophy lift. Would’ve been great to see at the parade but the recent impromptu gatherings have been immense - perhaps risky for young children.

@Arsenal what are the chances of sorting some sort of family friendly area for the parade for people with smaller children? I’ve got a 6 year old I’d love to bring but can’t see how it would work at the moment as a mum flying solo, from pov of safety, logistics and visibility.

His weight of pass is so good, a real appreciation of space, surprisingly two-footed, really strong, and puts a message on his passes. Even wins his headers. Has everything.

@gunnerpunner I couldn’t agree with this more - how often do we walk away from games feeling like we’ve played quite well and been threatening, only to be met with oppo fans saying “don’t remember any real chances/their keeper making many saves” - and this is exactly why.

This team is very good at getting into dangerous positions whether in transition or through buildup. We’re just not good enough at turning those ‘pre-chances’ into actual chances. A lot of it doesn’t show in the data. We waste decent openings far too often.

Today didn’t feel like we intentionally sat deep. We couldn’t get out. It’s easier to blame on intent rather than being outplayed.

So Kepa… Is he as good as Raya? No. Is he better than most #2 GKs? Yes. The bigger picture: to attract a semi-decent sub keeper, you need to make promises to them. And staying in the team for a final they helped you reach is probably high on the list. Hurts now. But context.

I ref, albeit in a different sport and at a more middling level, and I cannot comprehend how you could allow this situation to happen. Just take two steps away, avoid the horrific optics of this.

But also, to know it was going to be a goal from pretty much halfway an enjoy every second of the anticipation before the finish. Heaven!

@RohanJivanAFC I felt there was a concerted effort to play through and forward compared to recent games. Eg, a spurs fwd blocked Raya’s pass to Saliba, and he rolled it through the gap for Saliba to run on to rather than turn back to the other side. Same with balls like Timber’s assist for Gyok

After rewatching the game back, I can confidently say that there was absolutely nothing new we saw from a ‘pattern of play’ perspective. You can point to any positive sequence and I could give you examples of where we’ve seen them in action before. And this is why the preeminent driver to why we were very good (obvious caveat is that Spurs are poo) is we did the absolute basics. Largely kept the ball on the ground when we could, continued to pressure the opposition M2M as a collective and were superb when competing for loose balls. Once you apply the basics, you can then play your game and sustain pressure. The issue is that we haven’t always consistently applied ourselves in the PL since our second half display vs Villa (H). Hence why I maintain that the biggest question I have is can the team apply themselves like they did on Sunday from now until the end of the season; if they do then the league is ours.

@billycarpy I think you have to take his comments with a pinch of salt though - rather than genuine ruefulness it’s far more likely to be a deflection. Better for media and also player confidence to “miss a chance” than “struggle to create” - in theory it’s just an action you can do better

A recurring irk I have with Arteta is the degree to which he'll rue a missed chance in a game when we don't create enough. That's for fans to do; and it's also fine if you've got 25 shots. At seven shots, we haven't earned the right to complain about a particular miss.
