Now that the election journey is ending, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in my vision, and joined me on this journey. Your support has meant the world to me. I want everyone to know—I didn’t run for mayor because I wanted the title; I ran because I couldn’t stand by and watch as San Francisco suffered. I dedicated a substantial amount of my time, energy, and resources to this campaign because I wanted to end the chaos and create a better environment for everyone. It takes a lot of courage for an ordinary person like me to step into this race. I am not a politician. I don’t have experience running a campaign, and public speaking doesn’t come naturally to me. But I’ve pushed myself into this race, fully aware of the challenges I’d face and the sacrifices I’d need to make. This campaign wouldn’t exist without my wife, Kay. She has been with me through it all—taking on countless campaign tasks before and after my son’s birth. Without her, I wouldn’t be here today, and I’m grateful for everything she has done. Having her in my life is the best thing that ever happened to me. To me, my campaign was a success in many ways, even though I didn’t win. Despite the obstacles stacked against me, the votes I received far exceeded my expectations, making all the hard work truly worthwhile. Running a campaign on my own was not easy. I built and designed every piece of campaign material, including a website in four languages. I gathered information and developed solutions for the challenges we faced. Even in the hospital, waiting for our son to arrive, I had my laptop with me, working to keep the campaign moving forward. After becoming a father in July, things got even more challenging. Balancing fatherhood with the campaign often meant only 2-4 hours of sleep each night. Alongside the intense workload, I also faced obstacles from local organizations and media outlets. Nearly all debates and forums excluded me, with only one organization welcoming my participation. Media coverage focused solely on the five well-known candidates, leaving me largely unseen and significantly limiting voters' opportunities to get to know me as a mayoral candidate and my vision for our city. Given these challenges, I believe I did an exceptional job. To receive this level of support, under such circumstances, makes me incredibly proud of what I accomplished. One day, I look forward to talking to my son about this experience. I want him to know that I chased my dream and put everything into this journey. To everyone who believed in me, thank you for your support. I wish I could thank each of you in person to show how much your support means to me. The past few months have been an incredible journey. I’ve gained so much, but nothing compares to the joy of welcoming my son into the world. Here’s to brighter days ahead for all of us—I wish you the very best and thank you again for being a part of this journey.

This is why many businesses have left our city. It is obviously affecting the business in a very bad way. I hate these laws that bully the hard-working ones and give the lazy ones everything. This is not how we define freedom!

San Francisco is an insane city. A cop informs an angry store owner that he isn’t allowed to force drug addicts off the property and that people have been, and will continue to use drugs out in the open whether he likes it or not.

Today, I am deeply honored to begin serving as your mayor. This is the city where I was born, the city I call home, and the city I believe in with all my heart. I entered this race not as a politician, but as a dad who couldn’t explain to my kids what they were seeing on our streets. San Francisco has long been a beacon of compassion and progress, and it’s time for us to be at the forefront of change once again. The crises of addiction, homelessness, and public safety are immense, but they are outweighed by our collective will and determination to heal our city and restore a sense of safety and hope for all San Franciscans. Inauguration Day marks the beginning of a new era of accountability, service, and change at City Hall. Starting today, my administration will take bold, unapologetic action to tackle our most pressing challenges. We will treat the fentanyl crisis as the emergency it is, revitalize downtown and our economy so that businesses large and small can thrive, and ensure that every San Franciscan shares in our recovery and prosperity. San Francisco has faced hard times before, and we always rise to the challenge. I am proud to work in partnership with the members of the Board of Supervisors, city departments, and the thousands of city workers who work tirelessly on the front lines every day. But every San Franciscan must do their part to help to turn around our city. It can be as simple as picking up litter on your street, shopping and dining locally, visiting a museum, taking in a performance or sporting event, joining your local Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT), or working downtown an extra day per week. I’m asking you to join me as we reclaim San Francisco’s rightful place as a global symbol of innovation and compassion. No one else gets to define who we are. When we are at our best, we are the greatest city in the world. It’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work. This is where our comeback begins.

Here is a photo I took near Union Square in San Francisco in February of 2018. Look at all those shoppers out on the streets, they are packed. Today on the same block the giant anchor H&M store has been shut down and vacant for several years now. Uniqlo is gone. Tad's Steakhouse with their great neon sign and awning now boarded up and vacant -- and EVERYTHING in the Walgreens is now locked up behind locked plastic. The only sound on this block these days is the jarring banging of drums, sirens and bullhorns by the toddler temper tantrum hotel workers demanding the hotels hire them back even though the tourists have stopped coming. What happened to our beloved San Francisco? "Progressive" politics is what happened to San Francisco -- London Breed and her do nothing police chief Bill Scott let drug addicts take over our streets and we never even put up a fight. And before the oh so predictable drug and crime apologists try to blame "the pandemic" or "online shopping," bear in mind that places like the Westfield Valley Fair or Town Center in Corte Madera are packed to the gills while all our stores have been shutting down. They had a pandemic and online shopping in those places too, but they've recovered far faster than San Francisco because they don't let drug addicts shoplift or bother normal people trying to shop. Fix this @DanielLurie -- make San Francisco great again.

Shocking Footage Exposes Nanny's Abuse of Helpless Newborn A hidden camera captured the unthinkable— a nanny viciously abusing a defenseless newborn just days old. The heart-wrenching footage reveals moments of cruelty that will leave you outraged and horrified. This isn’t just another story; it’s a call for justice for the innocent life put in danger. Watch it, share it, and help us expose the truth.

@nelsonmeix Hi Nelson - 1. Thank you for your time and effort spreading the message. This horrible incident did not get enough exposure to the US media is a concern to me. Your video editing and putting in the explanation works great! Just one suggestion: can you call out Fremont/Bay Area?
