@sparsevoxel IMO there’s two ways of approaching machine learning. You either get the theoretical background and build yourself a couple of Hello World examples or you take what’s out there and try to solve a real world problem with it. I recently did the latter and I learned a lot!

@DNambiguasu @zephray_wenting Thanks! It’s not a replacement screen. It’s a 4" 480x480 screen that I found to be quite suitable.

I did it! A full resolution video stream via my WiFi cartridge on an unmodified original #GameBoy! Glorious 160x144 pixels blasted out at 20fps. A full video with details will follow.

@Atrix256 Well, you’d have a 4th dimension, although not a spatial dimension. So…

Apparently this is what happens when you got your horizontal front and back porch set too short: the display ignores every second one and also seems to ignore the vsync happening right in the middle of the screen 😅

@sparsevoxel This is for a Gameboy emulation and I just realized that the Gameboy may pause its PPU at any given time which would then destroy any previously established sync. So new strategy: maybe frame buffers?

@sparsevoxel As long as the V-SYNC periods have the same length I can always shift their phases. That being said, one pixel clock cycle difference wouldn’t matter IMO. I’d still reach my goal of avoiding tearing effects.

@sparsevoxel They are generated on the FPGA. I was thinking maybe use one of the pixel clocks to drive the other one?
