Weird and now a pointless small cell. This is the only macro in the area T-Mobile isn’t on.

T-Mobile installed this shelter in 2023 it’s 2025 and still nothing. I’m curious to what type of delay causes that. Lease signed and ground gear installed and 2 years nothing. They also had crown install a small cell in the parking lot replacing the sprint mobilite one. Weird.

@GainzPro Verizon has mmw everywhere here so they should be fine however they don’t have many macros here which is my gripe with them. My Vz line guy shutdown this week so I need to get a new one. The macro density is terrible but mmw everywhere. Tmo also has TONS of small cells.

T-Mobile memorial city mall area the antennas are next to me and it’s struggling they also have over 10 small cells. The only solution is mmw at this point the sheer usage to be causing this is crazy. The mall also has das system with n41.

Found a new Verizon collocation using the new antenna in Fulshear and another in progress T-Mobile collocation down the road. Plus a new power line site in Richmond tx in a perfect spot. Over 13 new Verizon macros this year in the general area I check plus like 25 n77 small cells

Tmo is so congested it’s insane between the blue areas the 3 macros red X, 2 mini towers magenta, 5green cc small cells serve
2 hebs, Kroger,Walmart, Sam’s,Costco, 25 apartment complexes, 50 plus restaurants and 50 plus stores etc. thousands of homes and 13 miles of busy highway

@melanatedtimo Every site is seemingly saturated near me. Even small towns have congestion issues. Unless your on an empty site or super rural area the site almost always has a tons of usage.

3.7 mile spacing is super far areas with the same amount of usage have sites every .7-1.2 miles apart. The sheer amount of users on those 3 towers is insane.

Yellow are future sites. Also 1/2 phones in this are on tmo. The Richmond area has even more apartments and houses under construction. This sites are getting hammered to the point they show high usage even at 2am. Basically thousands of users on 9 Nokia ahec antennas.

If the confidence that T-Mobile help keeps you connected at national parks, then why is there no service at majority of national parks such as Yellowstone National Park and closer to me, Big Bend National Park? I don’t get why your other competitors @SriniGopalan have a deal or some sort like Commnet. @dishwireless is just shutting things down by not paying. Found this letter from the utility company stuck on my equipment at a site that we colo with Dish. Dish cabinet shut down and unlocked. @Terrell352 In my area it would just packetloss out and become unstable and borderline unusable. Most macro sites have over 70-80 precent usage in some areas of Bryan college station. Florida is Ericsson so I assume the gear handles better than Nokia.

So T-Mobiles network actually realized the ODAS was 100% utilized and shifted the phone to a macro tower. AT&T ODAS still worked. Verizon mmWave of course dominated.

@GainzPro @Tony1517Buckeye In Houston T-Mobile has more macros and more small cells. It’s actually crazy the density they have in some spots. Macros .3 to.7 apart in addition to small cells.

@networkninja77 @Tony1517Buckeye Always interesting to find! In Detroit, Verizon has more small cells while T-Mobile has better macro density. Sometimes V’s small cells get the job done, and sometimes TMO macros still don’t help improve coverage (assuming bc extreme tilts…sites every 1/2 mile & sometimes more)

@Tony1517Buckeye Thank you for confirming! That means Verizon is really pushing the range on their macro that is a mile north. Sometimes it’s faster than T-Mobile.

@SneedTech They can’t even compete in ilec areas either. Worst network in Houston and they even lost share in some areas from what I’ve heard.

AT&T is not growing outside of its fiber footprint, it actually looks like they are losing share outside their ilec.

@SneedTech I’ve tested it with people and it works like it will show people are typing in WhatsApp etc. Like it works but it’s not a starlink home or future ast level service.
