@DefiantLs She reached the point where enough was enough. Not an excuse, but I get her breaking point. Airlines have pushed us to the limit. And those two should’ve been required to buy that middle seat.
@luxemiaa The problem now is airlines charge 70-120 bucks per seat to pick the in advance. Family 4 is not paying 280-480 more per flight. It’s fucking ridiculous. Makes people do desperate things to save money in these times.
This woman said: Just boarded my connecting flight home from Tokyo and guess what? Someone is sitting in my window seat 😂 I can’t make this stuff up… twice in one day!
I told them they were sitting in my seat and they replied “can you sit over there because we’re all together?” I said “no”.
They were taking too long to move so I motioned the flight attendant and she yelled “take your assigned seats so we can go!”. The man got up and moved across the aisle to his.......
Look I’m very into health and fitness there’s a lifetime gym opening by my house and I was planning on getting a membership, starting price is $339 per month. Doesn’t that seem a little steep or am I just outta touch because I haven’t paid for a gym in a long time??
Jimmy Kimmel: "Before he was elected to the Senate, Markwayne Mullin was plumber. That's right. We have a plumber protecting us from terrorism now."
The elitism of Hollywood summarized in one moment. 👇
CHRIS CHRISTIE STEPS OUT AFTER OZEMPIC JOURNEY
After 6 months out of the spotlight, he reappears with a noticeable transformation.
Some see progress. Others question the approach.
Is he preparing for a political run - does he stand a chance? ⬇️ 🇺🇸
@nickimoraa You are not entitled to their jobs. Boomers are as young as 61 and can’t retire without full benefits until they are 67. Whether you like it or not they have earned what they have and have the right to enjoy it!
@RapidResponse47 You whiney people can’t stand tsa lines are now manageable and it’s because of Trump and ICE. You’d rather stand in a line 4 hours than give credit where’s it’s due. Pathetic.
Traveler at Newark Airport welcomes ICE's help: They're here to help. They're not bothering nobody. As long as they can get me on my flight, I'm good to go.
@ChrisMartin1961 Well first of all, guys like you and me (I was born in 62) shouldn't really be called "Boomers" since we were born over a decade and half after WWII.
We have zero in common with someone born in 1946.
I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week.
I don’t get why we are so vilified.
@SirBylHolte Htf does a nurse remain an illegal? There’s no excuse for not fixing your immigration status as a supposed professional earning a decent income.
This week on The Pitt:
ICE agents arrive with an injured female detainee who suffered a nasty fall during a raid/sweep at a restaurant.
They ask her if there’s anyone they can call:
ICE agent barks “NO PHONE CALLS.”
Hispanic patients and visitors start fleeing the waiting room in panic.
Dr. Robby demands “get ICE out of here as quickly as possible.”
The head nurse is informed that word spread fast—all the Hispanic people in the waiting room are bolting.
She snaps, “Can’t we just get them the fuck out of here?”
Someone questions how they can treat the injured detainee if she’s undocumented.
Head Nurse: “All patients, regardless of immigration status, have the right to emergency care under EMTALA.”
A female doctor reports that several nurses have already fled because of ICE’s presence—even those with temporary protected status.
Robby confronts the agents directly: “I just lost five nurses and half my environmental services team because you walked in.”
A heated lecture follows about the disruption to patient care and hospital operations.
The ICE agents back down and walk away with their tails between their legs.
Then, fed up with the “libs” at the hospital, ICE tries to take the detainee by force—refusing even her prescribed sling and getting rough with her.
One of the male nurses (Jesse) intervenes to protect the patient and stop the excessive handling.
He gets wrestled to the ground, zip-tied, and arrested right there in the ER.
And here’s the problem with woke Hollywood.
They’re just a messaging service for the destruction of America.
They don’t care that we won.
They don’t honor what we want.
They don’t care that they’re putting a target on the backs of government employees.
It’s not a congenial two-party system anymore.
It’s a takeover force.
And they’ll tell any lies they have to to make us GO AWAY.

@HistoryBoutique Yet as a 65 year old mother of 2 soon to be grandmother in NY if I comment on a child s cuteness and try to engage a new parent I am met with wide eyed stares and zero responses as if I had some terrible ulterior motive. I would never hesitate to help a parent but am afraid to
I was in a nice restaurant in Paris and my 9 month old baby girl started crying.
An older woman, the owner, power walked up to me with her arms stretched out, speaking French, and grabbed my baby and held her against her cheek.
So sweet, in broken english, she demanded I sit down and enjoy my meal and that she would take care of her new little princess.
They both looked so happy after a few minutes of pacing, and I swear the chef prepared a comically large, full chicken and mashed potatoes for my bay girl of which she had half of all over her face within minutes.
This was not the only time on my trip that an older woman stopped what she was doing to help us.
I walked into a bar, midday, asking to use their bathroom changing table. They laughed and said that was not a thing in Paris. They moved everything off of the bar and insisted I change her diaper right there. Gross right? Nobody in the bar was phased!! They looked happy to be helpful!
It was embarrassing to accept help at first until I realized that it was truly their pleasure and their culture. (Now that a couple of my kids are looking more like adults than babies, I get it. You miss having those babies around.)
I LOVE helping women with their babies. I do not claim to know any more than them, but sometimes it just takes someone who is “not mama” to distract them.
And for the parents, this empathy means the absolute world.
I rarely experience family friendly moments like this, even in the South.
Asheville restaurants have turned away my very well dressed family, and even said comments like “we’re not that family friendly. You should try the pizza place down the street.”
We went to Kiawah Island every summer for years, but after multiple experiences of being turned away after them seeing we have a toddler with us, I am done.
It’s really sad because it’s not just the restaurants fault, it’s our culture that is allowing this to happen. If people were excited to see children in public, their restaurants would follow their lead.
I would love to get back to traditional southern culture, where children and babies are welcomed members of society.
Where it is not just OK to bring them out of the home, it is encouraged.
I would love to get back to a culture of community.
@HistoryBoutique First of all, if a stranger—no matter the age—picked up someone’s baby in the US, parents would flip the f*ck out. Second, it’s gross to put anyone’s dirty ass on a bar.
This was just a worry for us. I flew my wife and son on JetBlue from Ft Lauderdale back to Austin without booking seats because I assumed they would not let a 2 year old sit with a stranger.
My shock when I realized from reading online that could’ve happened.
The flight was absolutely packed as well. Luckily they accommodated and sat them together.
I would not have let them take that flight and booked them on another one if they didn’t sit them together. Not a chance.
The fact that this is even allowed is ridiculous. A 2 year old cannot be sat next to a stranger alone for hours. That’s absurd.
Every time I post about our family getting split up on a flight I’m told I didn’t pay enough for our seats or book far enough in advance.
But this is what Macaulay Culkin just posted.
It should not be legal for airlines to split up kids and parents on the same reservation.
