My experience plenty and some of them were during the Ijaw and Ilaje war in 1998. One of my cousins did a juju they called Acid na water. Once he holds any container with acid and he says Acid na water, the acid will turn into water and he will drink etc. We use am chop money for Ebute Metta that year. Some people for Ondo Street and Abeokuta Street go remember. We dey call that my cousin Samo. Anybody wey grow for Igbokoda go remember another of my cousin wey dem dey call WAZO. He is late now, but den baba get jazz. The story long.
Ifedayo (JIMCRUZ)@ifedayo_johnson

Does anyone have any experience that can confirm JUJU really exist?

@lerry_OO @Montero1016 @TYFLagos So dey didnt bcom kings via a maternal line bt bcame kings cus dey were sons of an ooni & came to d town wit beaded crowns after dey were sent off frm ife 4 being twins. That's y many towns in ondo state uses female regents as a placeholder till date bt nt inheritance of d thrown

@lerry_OO @Montero1016 @TYFLagos Nope it was not. U read to comment nt 2 understand. D town was already in existence b4 d crown came frm ife cotc of a wife of an ooni who had twin sons. Both sons ended up bcoming kings of 2 towns close 2 each oda. Bt b4 they were old enuf 2 rule, dia mum ruled as a reagent.

Needed to quote this for visibility. Hamzat is from Lagos and his dad even held posts in Lagos. Oba Hamzat became King via his maternal line. Oba himself was head of AC structure in a part of Lagos state. I think hes now late. Enough of this rhetoric. Omo Eko ni!!! @TYFLagos
Ayinde@AbolajiLiasu

@LagosJunction I thought Hamzat's father was once a king at Ewekoro, Ogun state?

@PitBull40855745 @Montero1016 @TYFLagos It is nt a crime but a strong tradition in many yoruba towns. Many of d examples being citied nw are in lagos/ogun which i see as exceptions & nt d norm. I av been personally affected by this male lineage rule so I am also speaking frm experience. Mayb I ws wrong in generalising

@lerry_OO @Montero1016 @TYFLagos Dis ex u citied started dia own towns & became kings over them nt lyk dey bcame king of an already existing town thru dia mum. Even d ist king of my town ws a woman who held d kingship in trust 4 her small child who came wit a crown as a son of a king. So i dnt think these counts

@nevilbot @Montero1016 @TYFLagos This isn't true as Key figures like Oduduwa's grandchildren, such as the Alaketu of Ketu, OluPopo, and OluSabe, relied on their mother's lineage—specifically the daughters of Okanbi—to claim their crowns.  Did they bribe their ways back then?

@orukusuku @Montero1016 @TYFLagos Ok maybe I was wrong in my generalising bt in yorubaland dis is a recent exception & nt d norm bcus mst of d examples citied are n lag/ogun state. as some1 whose path 2 a throne has been affected thru this rule, I also personally know y i made my initial comment.

The reigning Oniru, Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal, Abisogun II became a King from not only his mother's lineage but from a different 'kingdom' from his father's. His father was an Ojora. Oba Tejuoso, Osile of Oke Ona in Egbaland, became a King through his mother's lineage. Some towns traditions accepted it so you should not generalised that people who became Kings through their maternal lineage bribed their ways through.

I was the first person to sell this bread at NNPC Abeokuta, I will start at the entrance of the petrol station and be shouting “buy bread”🤣🤣. The price of the bread then was 95 naira, bakery sold it to us at 75 naira My parents were part of the major distributor in abeokuta when the bread was launched in 2008. I used to hawk this bread around all the ministries in Abeokuta, Oke ilewo, Federal Secretariat, CBN, Oke mosan etc Thank you Jesus for how far you have brought me🙏

Thinking back now, I can understand why a lot of people lie as adults. It was the foundation. In primary school, my mates would converge during break time and talk about the wealth of their families. Two stood out for me that made me feel poor back then. Echeogor said that his father had a jet parked in their garage. Aloysius said that his dad's money filled the stadium, and that was why football matches were not being played there; to protect his dad's money. I would to bed every night wondering why my dad did not have such money. If you can 'blow' that kind of lie as a minor, there is no limit to what you can 'achieve' as an adult😀😀. #nostalgia
