@DCHomos They do public calls for art where an artist can submit a concept of pretty much anything. If a board selects it, they get to make it. There's random spots designated for public art and we never know what's gonna pop up, 😁

the lady’s comment about everyone being squished reveals the real issue, she wasn’t mad about the seat,she was mad that someone else wasn't suffering as much as she was. she acted as if the plane was a public park where you can sit on any empty bench. she forgot that airlines are a marketplace where space is literally for sale by the inch.

This is absolutely not enough. Just on the policy piece alone, there are SO many individuals - staff, advisors, consultants, cabinet secretaries, spouses, and more - that can trade on insider information. This is just a fig leaf to deflect from criticism. We need to do more.

My wife and I were talking the other day about potential career options for my 15 yrs old daughter who really struggles in school and is likely not college bound/material. For guys it’s easy… Don’t want to go to college, pick a trade or figure something else out such as a police officer, firefighter etc. It’s not as easy for girls. I think she would do well in sales since she is attractive, has the personality and is extremely social (spends hours everyday talking on the phone to all her friends). For parents with daughters who aren’t on the college path…what are some real, high-income career options you’ve seen work?

@constans I would never want to work around a bunch of degenerates who have no manners and have foul mouths. That's not how I am at home nor is it what I want to see at work. I need the folks around me to have some class.

There is a valuable lesson to be learned here— people with very little impulse control end up limited to a certain subset of jobs while people who can learn to understand social norms of their environment & have self control can advance further. Children see this as “being fake”

@hy_wemmy I got extremely lucky, but MOST are nothing but horror stories about the kinds of guys. That literally shapes the way a woman will view future relationships.

Every woman I have ever known has been a bit embarrassed about who she dated when she was 19, like it was pretty much the lowest of her dating standards, so it’s really funny to see grown men being proud of dating 19 year olds.
