@moonbirds @veefriends - SCAM REPORT: I have received two separate emails similar to the images below claiming to be from your projects reaching out for free AirDrops and an NFT card. DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS WITHOUT DYOR!! I haven’t been online for a long time, so if there’s more info on this with more/different details, my apologies - just trying to make sure people are not clicking anything that could be harmful. I wasn’t able to find anything in the projects claiming to do anything like this through their direct websites. The scam collection I've been calling out all week is minting now but they've just had to change their mint supply from 5k - 1k on the fly. This is what happens when you fake demand via bots and paid chatters. They also free minted a bunch and dispersed across team wallets. The usual grift. These antics are old and tiresome. You really think I'm gonna sit here and not say something when I've watched this same person try to scam our space 3 times now? Not on my watch bucko.

Over the past four months $13.3M+ has been stolen as a result of 54 SIM swaps targeting people in the crypto space. When an account is compromised scammers attempt to create a sense of urgency with a fake claim to drain your assets. Never use SMS 2FA and instead use an authenticator app or security key to secure accounts.

Update: Magnate Finance website is now offline and Telegram group was deleted. There are also ties on-chain to the Kokomo Finance exit scam.

Community Alert: Magnate Finance on Base will likely exit scam in the near future currently with over $6.4M TVL. The deployers address is directly linked to the Solfire $4.8M exit scam.

4/ You might catch something before OpenSea does and in so doing save yourself a world of pain. This too is not an all encompassing solution, just one more buffer to try and protect yourselves. 🫡

3/ @0xhcy has been just one unfortunate victim of this methodology (see first post for link to his/her thread). Therefore we recommend as follows: Before making a big purchase, investigate the sale/transfer history of the NFT. Look for suspicious activity yourself.
