This advice coming from someone serving his third term, having effectively abdicated halfway through it, and after successfully transforming the constituency he was meant to serve into what many would call a slum, is quite something.
Now back to base he goes, fighting for a gubernatorial seat, presumably so he can spread that same remarkable success and beautifully replicate it across Bungoma.

This evening at State Lodge, Nakasero, I received and held discussions with a delegation led by the former President of South Africa, H.E. Jacob Zuma, who paid me a courtesy call.
Our discussions touched on opportunities for increased business and investment cooperation, particularly in strategic sectors that support industrialisation and value addition. I welcomed their interest. We shall support them.

The Peace Agreement remains the basis of legitimacy for the transitional government in South Sudan. Unilateral changes to the Agreement are not in accordance with the letter and spirit of the Agreement and will not bring peace to South Sudan. We call for an immediate return to dialogue among all parties to the Peace Agreement.

Our inaugral State Visit to Kazakhstan has deepened our appreciation of the remarkable progress the nation has achieved since attaining independence from the former Soviet Union in 1991.
Kazakhstan’s transformation into a modern, dynamic, and influential State in Central Asia stands as a testament to visionary leadership, resilience, and strategic economic planning.
The lessons drawn from the country's development journey will greatly inform and enrich Kenya’s own economic growth and industrialisation agenda.
To further strengthen the longstanding friendship and expand diplomatic and engagement between Kenya and Kazakhstan, Kenya will soon establish an Office of the Consul-General in Astana.
We extend our sincere gratitude to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the warm hospitality accorded to us throughout the visit. We also look forward to welcoming him to Kenya in the near future on a reciprocal State Visit.

Terrorism financing remains a global threat that requires coordinated international action and long-term commitment, stronger partnerships and enhanced intelligence sharing.
Kenya has undertaken significant steps to strengthen its Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism framework through legal, regulatory and institutional reforms aimed at addressing emerging terrorism financing threats, such as new technologies, and aligning the country’s financial integrity system with international standards.
Participated in the 5th No Money for Terror Conference in Paris, France, during a panel discussion on obstruction of financial strategies used by terrorist groups relying on territorial controls.
H.E. Emmanuel Macron, President of France, who closed the meeting, reaffirmed France’s commitment, under its G7 Presidency, to redoubling efforts to deliver concrete results in addressing global economic and financial challenges.

The Nairobi Metropolitan Police Unit will significantly enhance security and public order in the city and its surroundings.
The Unit will strengthen response to emerging security challenges, improve inter-agency collaboration, and promote cooperation between the police and the public.
This morning, I received a progress report from the technical committee working on establishing the Unit.
I am gratified that the team is learning from some of the best metropolitan police units in the world in coming up with the administrative structure, service standing orders and standard operating procedures.
Present were National Government Coordination PS Ahmed Abdisalan, Inspector General Douglas Kanja, and representatives from the Nairobi County Government, among other senior Government officials.
