Air brakes are not just about stopping, they are about safety when things go wrong. On our roads, safety must always come first.

If a single hydraulic hose were to snap on a 40-tonne commercial truck equipped with a simple hydraulic braking system while traveling at 100 km/h on a highway, the driver would be left with a useless pedal and no stopping power. That is why heavy trucks use air brakes...🧵

The EAC celebrates Hon. Veronica M. Nduva, @SGNduva the 7th Secretary General.
She was the first woman to hold the office and the youngest in the history of the Community.
Hon. Nduva assumed office at a delicate time when the EAC was facing institutional turbulence. In just 22 months, her tenure delivered organisational stabilisation, rebuilt confidence and repositioned the EAC as a people-centred Community.
Warm wishes!

With only two flight to Mombasa on Sunday and all behind schedule it is just a matter of time before @KenyaAirways withdraws from the Nairobi-Mombasa routes all together...one of its most lucrative routes...no wonder small Wilson Airport based airlines have all started Nairobi-Mombasa flights. The slow and painful death of KQ right infront of our eyes is a national shame. Since it was Mr. Taitus Naikuni who injected it with the poison that killed it, why don't we reappoint him for he must have the antidote of the poison he injected KQ with.

We mourn the passing of Prof Raphael Munavu, a distinguished scholar and steadfast public servant, whose life’s work elevated the cause of education and national development.
His enduring commitment to learning and public service leaves a profound legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
In recognition of his leadership and experience, I appointed him in September 2022 to chair the Presidential Working Party on Education Reform, one of his final major public assignments.
Under his stewardship, the Working Party widely engaged stakeholders across sectors and delivered thoughtful and forward-looking recommendations to review the Competency-Based Curriculum and align our education system to evolving needs of our nation.
I also appointed Prof Munavu chairperson of Konza Technopolis board of directors, where he did a sterling job in positioning the organisation as Africa's Silicon Savannah.
As we honour his legacy, we recommit ourselves to advancing his vision of an education system that is equitable, innovative, and responsive to the aspirations of our people.
I extend my sincere condolences, and those of the entire nation, to Prof Munavu’s family, friends and colleagues in academia during this time of loss.

Africa is no longer a passive participant in global health; it is an active architect of its own direction, priorities, and outcomes.
The future of health policy, innovation, and delivery cannot be meaningfully advanced without Africa at the centre of both deliberation and implementation.
To realise this grand plan, we must re-imagine Africa’s health systems and place policy leadership, technology and mobilisation of domestic resources at the centre of this paradigm shift.
More fundamentaly, Africa's health systems can only be sound when we are able to manufacture adequate health commodities within the continent.
Addressed the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2026, Nairobi, that brings together 2,000 delegates from 40 countries.
