Question to everyone with PA’s working in A&E.
Has your department implemented the Leng review?
Are PAs still seeing undifferentiated patients with complex conditions? Are they still in Resus?
Remember they must ONLY see minor alignment.
No chest pain, no abdominal pain, no sepsis, no CVS, no IECOPD, no NOFs

@lengreview Now that Prof Leng is having to defend the integrity of her work, could you please release all the submissions you received and all communications between your team and Prof Leng from parties such as UMAPs, the GMC, DHSC, Royal Colleges, BMA, etc. If not, why not?

@nhs2tier Hahaha I got that rejection email too! I literally was one of the first to apply. I told a couple of people and one of them got 'approved' after signing up for it days later. Then then had to have a pre-webiner 'interview' on the phone first.

The GMC wanted to redact who they were seeking support off to influence the Leng review Unfortunately they didn't redact it all "Potential KF support" Now what organisation would have the resources for such a task, the appearance of independence, and have the letters KF… 🙃

Another email from Charlie Massey (@gmcuk chief executive) to Prof Leng, where the GMC said they would suggest which NHS orgs the review team should visit.

@kiityc @Dr__Sarmy This is more serious than a letter to these individual post holders. First thing is to get the injury adequately and appropriately treated. Second is to contact a medical negligence solicitor.

Fracture not immobilised for pain relief or to aid healing.
No appropriate follow up.
This would be a letter to Trust CEO, MD, and head of ED, and I would suggest patient make a formal complaint.
SAE, high risk of recurrence.

Elderly lady attends A&E 2m ago w/ fall&wrist injury. X-ray done, no info, sent home.
Poor pt obtains her discharge letter via a GDPR request!!
📄“Closed fracture wrist”.
- No follow up arranged
- Analgesia “via GP”
- No fracture clinic appt

Looks like the Patients association has taken the bait. Let me say it again. If the government pushes access in the community as it's headline - it simply means that they are gaslighting you into making you think this is betterer. It saves money whilst reducing quality.
