The active promotion of celebrating an as yet unspecified relaxation of lockdown while some mourn lost family and friends, while people still die, while clinicians still risk their lives to help others, is stomach churning. Isn’t it?

‘They’re here’ - 8 vehicles to be specially fitted out to support patient visiting services during COVID - @NHSDevonCCG GP localities teams in hours, and @DevonDoctorsLtd out of hours. Shout out to @DevonDoctorsLtd for providing fleet management services.

I worded that poorly. It read like a grumble. I meant it more as a reflection of how hard everyone is working, how committed everyone is, how much ‘above and beyond’ there is right now.

Today is one of those days there is going to be no turning off from. Lots of us having those right now. Not sustainable.

Cannot speak highly enough of my amazing Devon Doctors team right now. The last few weeks have been nothing short of remarkable. 16 hour days and 7 day weeks are now the norm. They’re running on empty but not one of them has grumbled. I’m humbled, proud and grateful for them all

Massive shout out for all community pharmacies. Please, please give community pharmacies a break - no need to over order medicines and those doctors helping patients to stockpile medicines you should know better! ePACT data will be identifying you!!

I’m just too exhausted to get out of bed this morning. Got home at 10.30pm last night. Payed 2 staff extra to work late with me to catch up on our workload. Scary number of near misses made by my team yesterday which shows their level of exhaustion. Frightening times for Pcy

Very humbling to see and hear so many outside clapping, cheering and even setting off fireworks. It’s hugely appreciated. If I have one message it’s PLEASE get us the PPE we need to keep going. Back to work. Stay safe everyone.

During the toughest month we have ever known in IUCS there’s one positive with the news that IR35 changes will be delayed by a year. Common sense prevails. Shame it’s a delay rather than simply scrapping this potentially disastrous decision

@PhilippaSlinger We’ve just moved to virtual meetings only. Current circumstances pushed it to top of agenda but environmental impact and lost travel time/efficiency savings also big factors. When I attend a meeting in Yeovil I’m in car for 4.5 hours! There’s a better way.

This has to be worth us all trying. Our carbon footprint and best use of time demands it and current pressures mean we have to quickly move to doing things differently. Running an Away Day, Virtually, Olly Benson nhshorizons.passle.net/post/102g0p0/r…
