I absolutely love all forms of ship graffiti, but this C15th example from Flowton in Suffolk, complete with armoured crew, is one of my absolute favourites. Joyous.

#OnThisDay in 1911, #Suffragettes Princess Sophia Duleep Singh and her friend Kitty Marshall pounced on the Prime Minister, Herbert Asquith, as he left 10 Downing Street; they stood in front of his taxi and unfurled a banner saying ‘Give Women the Vote’.

Yesterday we had the most wonderful talk with 91 year old alumna, Mary Edwards! She was so enthusiastic and retold the accounts of her childhood in such detail. It was truly inspiring and all of us present were undoubtedly moved by her childhood memories-

At 11.30pm @StPeterMancroft we give thanks for the long life of our dear friend Barbara Miller MBE, at her funeral here in church, in the heart of the City of Norwich, in which she loved so much and served as Church Warden. Rest in peace dear friend.

Superb thread on World Children’s Day. Real child agency what Biesta would call Subjectification and what should be (imo) one of the purposes of education.

Today is World Children’s Day! To celebrate we’re spotlighting the history of children's activism and protest, from the sugar boycotts of the 1790s to #FridaysForFuture. What have we missed? Add to our thread! 📷 Schoolchildren in Hull, England, on strike in 1911.

A throwback to a much sunnier, warmer day on this lovely tour of Norwich High School for Girls, which took place this September as part of #HODs. This beautiful building which is a fine example of a suburban Regency Villa is set within 14 acres of grounds at the school. ☀️

Kate Cooper, first student enrolled at Norwich High. She ran the Old Girls Association for many years and remained a great friend of the school until her death in 1946. Paintings she left the school still hang in the Sixth Form. Her English Literature exercise book is immaculate!

Not exactly an NHS archive post, but our most recent Archaeology Society find. We dug this up in the gardens behind Lanchester House. A fancy Victorian coat hook? Any other ideas?
