The site plan for a nice infill project called Bailey at Berkman was approved today. This is a five story building with 52 apartments being built on a site that currently has one home.

Guad’s been a dead zone for as long as I can remember—something you endure, not enjoy. Staff’s 600’ student housing plan offered hope. Now there’s talk of killing it? Deflating. Cheers to the status quo, I guess. What’s your read?

@cityjane IMO @vonlane is the best option for Austin to Houston (considering rail doesn’t exist). Compared to flying it’s cheaper, faster, WAY more comfortable, and offers downtown departure/arrival locations. 7 daily trips.

AUS >> HOU 166 miles, no rail connection 4 flights per day on ONE airline alone!

@amyliztweets I just listened to Ezra Klein’s interview with Tim Walz. He does this so well, he opens the door. He’s literally the midwestern dad we all need.

If she wants to address this with her VP pick, what she needs is a man who at least some of these people feel comfortable with who can signal it's okay to support her. I honestly don't think that person's ideology matters at all.

To me, it seems like Kamala's biggest challenge is there are a lot of men (and their wives) who might not be comfortable voting for a woman. Moderates saying it's bc they she's "too liberal" seems like the same self-serving argument as Berners saying it's bc she's "too moderate."
