This would appear to be a clear attempt at impacting the star player by accelerating and adding an extra layer of collision which could've easily led to an injury. So there's no place for this kind of thing.

I'm pretty surprised no follow-up suspension. He sized him up, it wasn't instinctive, it wasn't a rebound clear-out. League has always made shots to the head a big deal for obvious reasons.

Once again, we do not use the term "set" or the phrase "not moving" as a way to judge whether a defender has successfully taken a charge. You can be moving while also directly in the path and square to the driver to take a charge. Reggie and Tirico must be better than this

The verticality rule states that the defender has to jump straight up, or slightly backwards, to be legal. Otherwise it's a blocking foul. Siakam is pretty clearly moving forward, so it's an easy call
