@MBrundleF1 Long time F1 fan here and yes totally unacceptable - was so tragic losing Bianchi in 2014. The sport prides itself on its safety and that lessons are learned - systems that aren’t robust here? F1 just got away with the most unsafe situation perhaps ever in the modern era.

Should have been an instant red flag with a stricken car in a critical position in those conditions. Clearly debris on track too. Should NEVER EVER be a tractor on track until the cars are all collected up behind a safety car or in the pits. Gasly can’t take all the blame here

@mrdanwalker Slating a complex sport and speaking out of turn on perception of ‘everyones’ views isn’t cool or constructive. The experts explained what happened well. If only Merc had the guts not to protest. There’ll always be unique situations and luck involved. Full respect to Hamilton.

Sport is naturally entertaining and if you start fiddling and try to create ‘entertainment’… everyone sees through it. People get angry, complain and then appeal. The enormous ‘created’ mess then gets even messier. All the best sorting this one out. #F1 #AbuDhabiGP
