@_consistentgolf People are missing the point: BDC gamed the system by getting the best of both worlds -- taking LIV money and then taking advantage of major championship opportunities. Guys who opted for PGA got egg on their face -- and it hurts just a bit more.

People big mad at my take that I thought about for all of the 5 seconds I took to type the post. I will expand. Rory had a lead but made some mistakes down the stretch. He is gutted. He should be upset. I don’t blame him. I would be too. But here is the thing, in every round you ever play there will be shots and putts that “shoulda, coulda, woulda” went different. But the way it went is it. Bryson played just 1 shot better and there were plenty of “shoulda, coulda, woulda” moments for him too. Some people said that Bryson’s loss and and Rory’s are completely different. But are they really? I don’t think so. Both came extremely close to winning. Both had a chance down the stretch. Both played amazing golf but just didn’t get the 1 or 2 breaks they needed to win. I know in golf it’s not unusual for players to take off after they finish and know they won’t win. But the way Rory did it felt different to me. He was in the scoring room when Bryson made the putt and immediately took off. Idk, rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe I’m wrong and Rory is right to do that. That certainly could be the case. But IMO, waiting 1-2 minutes to say congrats would have been the classy sportsmanship by Rory. Just me.

@practicalgolf I got fitted for clubs and this is what happened to me. I asked around and the prevailing answer was "$3500 worth of lessons would be better than $3500 worth of clubs." I agreed, waited a year or so, and bought the clubs I was fitted for off the rack for a heavy discount.

Be careful when you’re being “sold” and not “fit” If they come at you immediately with a $750 driver shaft or a $3500 set of irons, you might want a second opinion 😬
