@robinwscott @JaneEAppleton You need all three to make a house, a shack, a cabin, a portaloo, whatever it might be, but they all share the same constitutive elements of floor/wall/roof.

@robinwscott @JaneEAppleton Foundations/Pillars/Roof makes me think of Classical architecture, Roman temples, plus in my mind, foundations>pillars>roofs still has something of an implied hierarchy, base & superstructure etc whereas Floors/Walls/Roof suggests more of an equality of terms

I’m trying to use a metaphor based on a three tiered structure and need names for those three tiers that stress their equal importance … Foundations, Pillars and … what’s on top?

It's exhausting being smart and also having ADHD. It's like a constant internal battle — curiosity & introspection vs. executive dysfunction I would be able to learn and do so much more if I weren't my own worst enemy.

The weirdest thing about #adhd is that you can tell people you have it and they sort of SEEM to understand, and then later are surprised and upset when you do all the things that a person with ADHD would do. Like bro what did you think I meant when I said I had ADHD?

FYI... Autistic people tend to think in complexities. Someone can ask us to do something seemingly straightforward, but our brains will often make it into something extremely complex and nuanced. We ask questions to untangle our thoughts.
