My first PC Engine homebrew's live! Don't expect much, just getting my feet wet on the system.
It's a dumb memegame made for a friend of mine who loves Touhou, from a joke on the Metroid Discord :P

@RetroRGB With a PC-FX GA, of course, you can use a floppy disk

Do you own a PCFX? If yes, you'll definitely want to check this out: retrorgb.com/pc-fx-non-vola…

Added PCB Scans of the IGS PGM3 to my website! I will be adding more.. I just have to go through the rest and pick the best scans. Another big thank you to @clintkolodziej for sharing all his PGM3 scans and information igspgm.com/pgm3/index.htm

For some reason I feel like pointing out that you can find me on the fediverse at @nicole" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bitbang.social/@nicole
Whether it's fediverse or bluesky, I really like the model of decentralized social media and want it to catch on more-- shout-out to server admin @ActionRetro1

@Duey0x0 ah I don't have an NES or a Famiclone but I did test it on the FPGA-based AVS!

New blog post! A look at krikzz's new RGB Blaster product. Getting RGB video from the Famicom without any mods-- is it really possible? nicole.express/2023/that-blas…

@artur @neobluemax Yeah I definitely don't think reverse-engineering the BIOS is impossible, I'm just curious what sorts of tradeoffs they've made and what edge-cases are handled, because I'm often curious about that sort of thing
English

@neobluemax @nicole_express There is no way they're using original BIOS files. What they're claiming isn't impossible, nor without precedent - Magic Engine did this 20 years ago. Polymega also does this without using original BIOS.
Perhaps it is naive, but Kevtris' body of work speaks for itself IMO.

@FG_Software A-Train only works with the Japanese System Card 3.0 BIOS; even the US Super System Card BIOS or the LaserActive BIOS fail
English

@nicole_express What's up with A-Train? I know about Juuouki (Only works with a specific early Syscard) and the TiddyCard for the CD games (Only works with HW with internal Super CD Rom² capabilities)...
English

@Shentok_ I like that they put the pinout there, I often get my DB15 pinout expansions confused
English

@nicole_express Oh I like that quite a bit. I have a couple of boards with really stubborn jamma edges and have to use a bit of extra grip and it's hard with a bare board lol

Looks like the Axunworks Supergun Mini has a neat new look
This has been my go-to supergun since I got it and it hasn't disappointed me yet!

@isugimpy It got *both* a CD-ROM and a HuCard release, weirdly enough

@nicole_express Altered Beast got a PC Engine release? Wild.

@harcalion @RetroRGB @analogue there are definitely advantages to the Duo as-is; I expect it'll probably also allow you to use the composite/s-video palette with RGB image clarity, which is a feature my setups lack
English

@nicole_express @RetroRGB @analogue I actually want one because I made the mistake of buying a Duo R without realising the RGB output mod was so complex (for a clumsy one like me). At least I didn't have to recap it. Well, crossed fingers for their queuing system...
English

Pre-orders for the @analogue Duo open tomorrow, however it wasn't very clear to me that OpenFPGA support IS NOT INCLUDED, so I made sure to highlight this in the post: retrorgb.com/analogue-duo-p…
