Time will tell. I think this war will be a costly mistake in more ways than one

And it’s effective enough to disrupt and dislodge any US assets on the coast, I mean it’s a pretty narrow kill box.

And not just by drones. All the Iranian need to do is identify any anti-missile defenses and they can knock em out with artillery bombing.

Without any viable systems to detect ships in the strait of Hormuz, the risk of sinking any other vessels drops dramatically.

So establishing a permanent foothold would be either impossible or very costly in blood and equipment. Either way it still achieves very little with regard to the Strait.
