Gideon Adlon’s voicework of Devon REALLY has to be commended. There’s a rawness to it we haven’t seen before other than with Sam himself as Maul. She pulls off that livid anguish tone real well. #MaulShadowLord

Oh Maul, you lovable tragic character you. Maul: Shadow Lord was really solid! Lucasfilm Animation continues to tell some of my favorite Star Wars stories. The animation was insanely good. Loved all the characters. Keen for more.

Been doing this thing where I run to all my workout classes within a mile or two. I find running to a destination much more motivating than a treadmill, plus is faster than driving when you factor in parking. A few months in and I’m in the best cardio shape I’ve been in years!

This is the peculiar thing about consistency. April felt off. Got sick after a race, then the youngest got sick a week later. So had a lot of running gaps. But kept walking when it felt right to do so. And yet, it’s nearly my most active month ever.

The marathon training hack no one wants to do is running easy enough that you can do it again tomorrow.

Still sick. Poor kid. Nothing intense, just the usual going around. Taking it as easy as I can. There's always more running later. 👍

Kid has been sick. So sleep has been rough past two days. As much as I want to keep running, even just easy, I’ve been here before. All my energy is going into making sure I don’t get sick. So only walking for me. Don’t mind though. Love my walks!

Coming from lifting, one of the weirdest parts of running was how long the feedback loop is. In the gym, progress usually felt obvious. More weight. More reps. Better set. Running has not been like that for me. You can stack a few good weeks and still feel basically the same. You can be fitter and still have a random bad run because it was humid, you slept badly, or your legs just decided not to participate. That used to drive me insane. Now I think it’s part of why I like it. Running makes you trust the work before it gives you all the evidence. Annoying, but probably good for me.
