In addition to Ethan's great points, as a coach/manager you have a responsibility for how your team acts. I always felt that how my team interacts/talks with anyone is a reflection on what we're ok with. Making your players better people matters just as much as how they play.

I usually don’t tweet about these type of things often, but I’ve been seeing it a lot particularly in Valorant and in the last couple years. It does not matter how popular, hard working, or talented someone is, there will always be consequences. I don’t know when this idea got lost for so many people over the last couple years, but it was a very well-known thing when I started esports 10 years ago. Your image as a person is EVERYTHING nowadays, and its astonishing that orgs/peers don’t try to help or train for it especially with the increased use of social media and the influence it has our on life and work. Basically, don’t be stupid online OR in person, its not that hard 👍

Big agree on this. It’s on the veterans, GMs and coaches to actually police this bad behavior EARLY and not after it’s gone viral. Too many people afraid to hold star players / young talents accountable or just ignoring it entirely. It’s our responsibility to produce good people - not just good players, especially when we’re pulling them out of high school / university and they can become a bit terminally online / socially stunted.
Hopefully this is a learning moment for everyone in the community and young players that this shit follows you, it won’t stay hidden forever.

This situation should be a lesson to everyone in the community looking to play professionally. You need to start acting like a professional or this will happen to you aswell. It’s easy to think you are untouchable when you get that good that fast but it ends up being your downfall. You don’t need to be a robot but you gotta end the whole edgelord act if you want brands to work with you

The fact that he cant even play the game or stream for an entire year along side being knocked off his organization as well as from competing in my opinion is disgusting he's soon to be 18 years old with a crazy bright future. So many different ways to approach a situation like this and choose such a horrible one massive L from riot games along with many others in the years. I don't know who runs these decisions at riot like these but whoever it is should be fired because they have 0 sympathy or humanity to be in such a big position.
