@tiangolo @zeeg @FastAPI @reactjs @nextjs I would love to see how/if next’s file based routing works with FastAPI. Tried, but had big problems with a hard browser reloads loosing all route state

@zeeg @FastAPI @reactjs @nextjs Only the frontend part of Next, no server side rendering. Maybe a bit of static site generation but that's also not too useful as it's under auth... So, I think the question is: file-based routing (Next) or React-router (React) (assuming that's the main option with React) (?).

The next version of the full stack @FastAPI template will use React for the frontend. A dashboard communicating with FastAPI, no server side rendering, not much use for static generation (it's behind auth either way). Should it use @reactjs or @nextjs? Mainly for the router.

@kdpsinghlab Thanks for this summary! One question I have is: what is the FDA considering "CDS" software to begin with? the doc makes some general claims, but are there specifics? is it "CDS" when a pathologists interprets raw NGS data?

The new FDA guidance on CDS software is important but not for the reasons you might expect. tl;dr: This document clarifies what the FDA *isn't going to regulate* and says little about *how* it's going to regulate CDS it considers to be a device. Link: fda.gov/media/109618/d…

The structure of @Alanis "Ironic" really lends itself to parody, and I'm really disappointed there aren't more out there. So, nerd community, here's what I need from you: * Geneticists: Isn't it Intronic * Chemists: Isn't it Ionic * Tabletop gamers: Isn't it Chthonic

There should be a file manager (or extension to a FM) which supports opening Jupyter notebooks. I don't want to spin up a Jupyter server (or open VSCode) just to see a little thing in a notebook. I know IPYNB is just JSON but there really should be an easier way to open it.

More snow is expected tonight through Thursday. The most snow is expected to fall in the morning hours. Snow banding between Seattle & Everett Thursday afternoon could lead to locally higher snow totals. A rain/snow mix is possible Thursday for the coast & southwest. #wawx

👋 Greetings, friends! I have a question for you: If you are building a web application using Python, what tools do you reach for first? And if you aren't using Django or Flask, what Python tool *are* you using? (RTs for reach appreciated!)

Excellent work, and a model for future studies, yes. But using GATK 3.7 HaplotypeCaller (released 12/2016!) and DeepVariant 0.6 (4/2018)... unfair, IMO and would love to see at least cursory re-analysis with GATK 4/Mutect2 and DV 1.0.0
Andrew Carroll@acarroll_ATG

Excellent thread. This study evaluated DeepVariant on 2,367 germline WGS in cancer patients. DeepVariant identified pathogenic variants in relevant genes in 35 individuals missed by standard, driven by higher accuracy in rare variants.
