it truly is a conundrum. you are right about all of this. the long list of anomalies about Oswald in Russia just screams out that he was working for them. Most JFKA Reseachers don't like this because this points the theory towards "the Soviets did JFKA and it really was the Lone Gunman and Magic Bullet." The only escape hatch i know of for this theory is that Oswald was secretly a CIA triple agent, spotted by Angleton because he was an unstable nutter which is the perfect cover, recruited in Japan, taught Russian in secret off his miltary record, then sent into Russia to f with the KGB. This is supposed to explain the double layer of secrecy around "Oswald was a KGB agent", because he was actually a CIA agent pretending to be a KGB agent pretending to be a disillusioned defector who returned to America. The assumption is this triple agent operation was so important that the CIA had to hide it forever because in the end it makes it look like the CIA's own agent shot JFK. I suspect Angleton's CIA files about their agent Oswald are what is contained in the final 36,000 pages of files that are still withheld.

JFK ordered an immediate halt to all sabotage operations and all attempts to overthrow the Castro regime after the peace settlement agreement. He promised not to invade Cuba. The question is what finally made the powers that be attempt to remove a sitting president from office?
