Biggest losers are those who did "Loss Harvesting" over the last 2-3 days of March
I specifically advised many clients against it as it makes no sense to risk buying much higher when the markets is oversold just to push back taxes by a year
Now all these people will need to hope for another crash to buy
Negligence cost me almost 4% in returns. 😑
Amex MRCC has two milestones:
🔹1000 MR on 4 transactions of ₹1500+
🔹1000 MR on ₹20K monthly spend
Assumed both are calculated on statement month. Spent ₹21K accordingly.
Expected 2000 MR. Got 1000.
Called customer care to know milestones are calculated on calendar month, not statement month.
Now I need to spend another ₹11K to hit the ₹20K milestone. Same points that needed ₹20K now need ₹32K spends.
Reward ratio dropped from 10% to 6%. Just like that. 😮💨
Always check the period at which milestones are calculated. Don’t assume.
@vj4786@jassneetsingha I think they offer DCBM. 5 lacs spends in 6 months and the current limit should be above 5 lacs. I don't know if it still holds true.
@tejasghongadi@ankurmittal I think 50k per month is good. I agree with relying on one transfer partner/card is risky. But that is how anyone starts their rewards journey.
Today at the office, we were reviewing various credit cards and noticed that there are hardly any entry level or sub-premium cards that offer meaningful miles for redemption.
The only card that makes some sense is the HSBC TravelOne Credit Card, that too only if you have lot of spends on travel.
For starters or those who are looking for cards upto 4-5K Rs annual fee or with spends upto 5-6 Lacs/year, in current scenario cashback cards seems to be a better option.
@vj4786@jassneetsingha I personally buy Swiggy, zomato, blinkit and occassional brand vouchers for shopping.
I also use jockey, pharmeasy sometimes via smartbuy for 10x
Also you can use it directly at nykaa, myntra
I buy Amazon as well as I am ok paying extra as my use case is accor
One of the smartest revaluations recently: the HDFC Bank × Marriott Bonvoy credit card.
Earlier, the free night was capped at 30,000 points —
while most decent redemptions had already moved beyond that.
Now, it’s upgraded to 40,000 points.
What changes?
• Premium stays start unlocking
• The benefit finally becomes actually usable
How to use it:
• 15,000 points from the card + Add 25,000 of your own
• Unlock a luxury stay for upto 40,000-point
Same benefit. Just far more practical in the real world.

@vj4786@jassneetsingha Don’t spend further on Atlas unless you have a genuine Group B use case. Otherwise you’ll end up with miles you can’t use this year.
Use Regalia for voucher spends—it’s solid for Accor transfers.
Also consider taking T1 and using it instead of Atlas.
@jassneetsingha@nikeshchatrani At 15 lakhs I think you get only 2500 … I have just crossed 7.5. Should I take travel one or continue this. I already exhausted my Amex plat travel. I have regalia but I don’t use due to axis
@jassneetsingha Why push for waiver spends on every card?
₹7.5L on Atlas makes sense, but ₹8L on T1 feels forced without real spends.
RG maybe LTF for some. Comparing with M4B isn’t fair—each card has its own use. You might not even hit AEP once for these spends
@nikeshchatrani -Atlas makes sense till 7.5L to get renewal benefit
-Travel One needs 8L for waiver
-RG needs 4L for waiver
7.5+8+4=19.5. If someone is doing this they should look at M4B (if Accor is not a need).
ICICI dropped a bomb with EPM + iShop a year back.
For a moment, it felt like they were ready to take the crown… but then they just paused.
👉High-demand vouchers like Amazon Pay — no multiplier
👉Almost a year in, and still no transfer partners (except Air India)
Fair criticism? Absolutely.
But let’s not ignore what they’re getting right:
👉6X on many genuinely useful vouchers
👉100% flight redemption via iShop using points
👉90% hotel redemption via iShop using points
👉Access to premium lounges
So, is it dead? Not even close.
The world doesn’t start and end with Amazon Pay.
Tried the HSBC TravelOne complimentary airport transfer today at Pune Airport.
• Innova Crysta
• Driver details shared in morning
• Water bottles & chips in the car
• Comfortable ride home
Best part - no need to go to AeroMall to get a cab.
Nice perk from HSBC T1. #ccgeek
@jassneetsingha For vouchers dcb, infinia, even regalia gold for that matter
But any card(t1, atlas, premier) which has good airline and hotel partners is worth more to me then the one which only transfers to one partner
Icici doesn't have any cards apart from EPM.
They need to up their game
@imYadav31 My plan for this year was never for accor with atlas as I had bought signature plan. I got saved there. But now atlas becomes my card for airline partners only. Only good hotel options seem like ITC
Axis Atlas really started feeling like an “Axis Accor” card for a lot of people.
Since the Accor exit, I’ve got so many DMs asking for alternatives… and many are already thinking of closing the card.
My take? Don’t rush.
Yes, Accor going out hurts badly.
But Atlas still has strong transfer partners and remains one of the best cards for earning reward points on educational spends.
The card has taken a hit.
It has not become useless.
@jassneetsingha I still don't understand why this even needs communication?
They can capitalise in the backend itself or even when sending from client side
This is NOT a policy update. It’s a red flag 🚨
HSBC saying passwords will be treated in UPPERCASE (Test123 → TEST123) raises serious questions:
👉Are passwords not properly hashed & case-sensitive?
👉How can they “convert” passwords unless they can read them?
👉This reduces password strength (less complexity)
This is a security downgrade, not an upgrade.
Also, forcing this without a reset flow is poor practice.
@RBI — how is this acceptable in a regulated system?
₹470 additional fee on ₹17,730 for paying via Credit Card.
2.65%
Still ended up paying by my Axis Atlas (Dont have MB)
Daughter's School Bus Fee.
It was either
0 Fee, 0 Rewards via UPI
OR
970 Miles for ₹470 via Credit Card
#CCGeeks
Some might argue with Rewards on UPI Card but I prefer raking up Miles 🙈😅
Don't buy the dip.
No one knows how deep is this dip.
If economy keeps performing as it is showing now, stock prices will not comeback for years.
Investing in stocks is a matter of expertise.
Not every stock will bounce back.
Don't listen to foolish influencers.
They have been telling you buy the dip since years for their own benefit.
