Suddenly, Film Twitter is overrun by the biggest ballet and opera fans you’ve ever met. They’ve been buying up tickets so fast it only seems like attendance is down because we can’t even process the rush.

This smear campaign against #TimothéeChalamet has been one of the most abhorrent, disingenuous and aggressive I’ve seen during #Oscars season. I really wonder if is there someone financing this to ruin his #Oscars chances or it’s purely engagement hunters jumping in this bandwagon. Or is it all because he dared to say he dreams big, something unthinkable in a society so used to celebrate self pity and mediocrity? I hope this wave of harsh negativity doesn’t break his spirits, and I hope he keeps being this perfectionist guy he likes to be. This generation clearly needs more young actors like him to have as role model instead of the vast majority this generation looks up to.
