Has any Prime Minister of India been shamed this much by international media before?

COVID recovery takes 2-3 weeks No need to repeat COVID test, labs, CAT scans unless worsening or hospitalized 80-90% patients recover at home without extra oxygen or antibiotics. Longterm effects not well defined... Remember: If you’re not getting worse, you’re getting better

50 tweets pulled down. Ok, so the government is capable of eradicating something at least.

As a child of the sixties, I’ve seen every crisis, incl 3 full wars, food shortages, calamities. This is our biggest post-Partition crisis & never has India seen a Govt missing in action like this. No control rooms to call, nobody accountable to reach. It’s a governance rout.

Confirmed @Dev_Fadnavis nephew Tanmay Fadnavis did break the queue & get both his jabs. His grandmother Shobhatai is also a Bjp leader (dynasty) asks if it is a sin to get the vaccine. What a family of rule breakers

Incredibly shocking if true. So Fadnavis isn’t just hoarding & smuggling Remdesivir while the Modi govt denies it to Maharashtra. His nephew allegedly gets vaccinated despite being ineligible while people of Maharashtra are denied vaccines by the BJP Central Govt. Sickening.

@Dev_Fadnavis your nephew got his second shot of the vaccine. Is he above 45 years of age? @COVIDNewsByMIB @narendramodi @SaketGokhale

First wave: impose the National Disaster Management Act, run things by executive decree for many months, put into place centralised systems of procurement and control. Second wave: "Health is a state subject." About as cynical as it gets.

Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine with 94% efficacy rate across age groups is just the news we need to turn 2020 around! But the vaccine has to be stored in -70 deg temp- whilst US/European countries with solid cold chain systems will do just fine, how will India fare in that dept?

I actually don't mind paid trolls. It is a job. They do it. I feel bad for people who do it for free - like you didn't even make the cut as a lowlife. It is a bit sad.

This is Hong Kong’s oldest bookshop. Running since 1918, Swindon, has incurred losses of more than HK$3.71 million in the #COVID19 pandemic. After more than 100 years in operation, the bookstore is shutting down for continuous unpaid rent. So long! What a sad day.

Independent women in any profession need to stop reacting to other people's judgment of them. This includes, trolls, critics, fans, politicians and other women. We answer to ourselves. And ourselves alone. The more we react the more agency we hand over to others.

When a brave young police officer stops a minister’s son and friends for violating curfew rules in Surat, she is transferred out. Now, Sunita Yadav has resigned. Is this how we treat law enforcers in corona times? Good night, shubhratri.. google.co.in/amp/s/www.indi…

Many sighs of relief that the president has finally worn a mask in public. I am one of those. For a second though, think about how unbelievable it is that it has taken this long—5 months, 137k+ deaths— for this to happen. Our expectations of leaders have sunk that low.

@ShivAroor @WHO Please stop sensationalising, @ShivAroor. Bubonic plague has NEVER really been wiped-off since the Middle Ages. Not only is it endemic in some countries, there are 1-17 cases of it in US every year. Also, it’s not the 14th century anymore, it’s easily treated with antibiotics.
