Delighted to meet María Ángela Holguín. I welcome her active engagement, alongside @antonioguterres, to resolve the Cyprus issue within the @UN framework and in line with EU principles, values and legislation. @EU_Commission will support this effort with all the assistance and tools at our disposal. Our newly designated Special Representative for Cyprus, @RaffaeleFitto, is engaging with all key stakeholders.

Οι παππούδες μας είχα μπαξέ και ζώα, και τα παιδιά είχαν φαγητό. Είχαν ασφάλεια στη γειτονιά, και άφηναν μια γιαγιά να προσέχει 20-30 παιδιά, με όλα τα σπίτια ανοιχτά, και πήγαιναν στο χωράφι. Είχαν ξυλόσομπες και μπόλικα ξύλα και το δωμάτιο που κοιμόταν είχε ζεστή. Τώρα τίποτα από όλα αυτά Επίσης, ο Θεός τα δίνει τα παιδιά, αλλά οι άνθρωποι τα μεγαλώνουν. Και έτσι που έγινε η σημερινή κοινωνία, όχι δε μπορείς να μεγαλώσεις παιδιά.

Τα παιδιά είναι δώρο Θεού και ευλογία για το σπίτι. Ο Θεός τα έδωσε, ο Θεός τα μεγαλώνει κιόλας! Δεν υπάρχει δικαιολογία για τις μη γεννήσεις στην Ελλάδα. Οι παππούδες μας έκαναν 5,6 παιδιά σε καταστάσεις πείνας και πολέμου. Καμία δικαιολογία.

The EU remains firmly committed to supporting the UN-led efforts on Cyprus. I had a good call today with the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy, Maria Angela Holguín, ahead of her visit to Brussels and the UN Secretary-General’s upcoming visit to Cyprus. We discussed recent developments on the Cyprus issue and the importance of maintaining momentum towards a comprehensive settlement. We agreed to continue our discussions during the UN General Assembly in September.

@bluemoonyellows Greece has a massive population decrease crisis and hundreds of primary schools are closing through the country. As for the Muslim minority of Thrace, they are Greeks and enjoy more civil rights and liberties than muslims in Turkey .

Greece shamelessly violates the Lausanne Treaty again closing 8 more Turkish primary schools in flagrant breach of international law. This is not administration. It’s deliberate, unlawful ethnic cleansing of Turkish minority rights!
