The same coordination, resiliency, and preparedness required for natural disasters are the same foundations needed to respond to a terrorist attack. Some leaders see the bigger picture and act. Others spend their time making excuses….saying they don’t have enough intelligence from the federal government, not enough budget, not enough manpower, or that they’re too busy to prepare for something that “hasn’t happened yet.” He’s exactly the kind of person we should be sending to Tallahassee. Someone who leads with integrity before a crisis, not one who points fingers after one. Every once in a while, good people enter politics for the right reasons. He’s one of them.

TrackingAQ has their account taken down for the truth. It’s sad no one got ahead of these threats when they had the chance. You want to always stay on offense, never defense, instead our counterterrorism strategy fails to deliver on the CBRN threat. Yes, just ignore it. Leave the problem for someone else.

Excellent question, and it is true that governmental intelligence capabilities across the board are lagging behind the jihadist terrorists’ capabilities, if technological capabilities, social media capabilities, financial networking capabilities and so on.
