Shout out to all trans activists sharing the blacklist of women's and gay rights organisations published by @AmnestyUK! You're demonstrating very effectively that in spite of their hasty backtrack it can be easily accessed forevermore, increasing legal liability. Thank you!❤️

@JuliaMasonMD1 That's not deep at all. It's a shallow pan with a cover with a seam. My cats will piss through the seam.
English

@JuliaMasonMD1 They don't make stainless steel litterboxes deep enough to keep George from tossing litter over the sides. Or if they do, I can't afford them.

I heard the gay cruise full of Americans couldn’t dock in Egypt or Turkey, so here’s a quick guide to cruising the region:
🇹🇷 Pride marches outlawed since 2015
🇪🇬 Egypt: no law against being gay — they just jail you for “debauchery” instead
🇸🇾 Syria: up to 3 years in prison for being gay
🇱🇧 Lebanon: up to 1 year in prison for being gay
🇮🇶 Iraq: up to 15 years in prison for being gay under a law passed in 2024
🇮🇷 Iran: death penalty for being gay
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia: death penalty for being gay
🇾🇪 Yemen: death penalty for being gay
🇶🇦 Qatar: up to 7 years in prison for being gay
🇵🇸 Gaza: up to 10 years in prison for being gay
🇮🇱 Israel: Tel Aviv Pride welcomes 250,000 people every year.

@MegadirkI @MeghanEMurphy I’m sorry you’re dealing with that.
Autoimmune diseases and chronic illness suck.

I am a man and I do meet the diagnostic criteria for fibromyalgia, with a point to spare. Swelling in and around muscles all over is clearly there, any good massage therapist can feel it.
These rheumatic issues are bad enough in themselves, for movement, posture, and pain, but the secondary effects of these inflammations include inflamed lungs, asthma like attacks (medium to severe), trigeminal neuralgia, heart arrhythmia, kidney stone like symptoms (because the swelling presses ducts shut making small stones HURT), and more.

@BlanchardPhD @ThePhDPlace I didn’t know you were at UIUC. My dad was running for mayor of Urbana while you were getting your PhD. And I was 5 years old.
English

@ThePhDPlace This should be stressed more. I got a perfectly normal PhD (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1973) followed by a 3-year postdoc at Dalhousie, and I never worked in academia. I worked 3½ years in a correctional institute and 30½ years in a psychiatric hospital.
