Some time last week, someone offered to help with my PC battery and days later he fulfilled it.
Now I noticed a decline in my ADHD tendencies as I'm more relaxed while working; also I can lock in better than before..
I'm posting to say thank sir🙏🏽🙏🏽🙇🏽♂️ @qtguru

@UsmanHarun48397 @Benn_X1 I wonder who you're supporting in the next elections
English

@Viva_asubz @Benn_X1 "a whole lot" I doubt. The people building with AI are the outliers in my opinion
English

@nixcode1_ @Benn_X1 Let's not be blinded by silly outliers. There are a whole lot of ppl building things with AI.

You're an inspiration

@nixcode1_ I have used ChatGPT Plus and Gemini Advanced, but I find Claude way better for my use case.
English

@Benn_X1 At a micro scale I can see how that is insignificant it is, especially considering what you have at your disposal.
I just worry about the possibility that making purchases because you can and it's cheap and not because they offer a needed value can be a terrible habit to build.

@kalunta_ @FinPlanKaluAja1 Will you also force the doctors to show up at the hospitals to work after banning their emigration?
y'all don't think and it shows

Spoke to an investor in the healthcare sector in Nigeria.
1. Group of investors started a medical business in Nigeria, have a location in Lagos, its doing "well" Naira revenues are in nine figures and growing
2. Biggest issues is retaining doctors. All the Nigerian doctors they hire are writing exams to emigrate abroad. Its so bad, they ask the new hires, "Can you give us your expected resignation date so we can plan".
3. He said a firm from the UK is actively recruiting Nigerian medical personal, and packaging them for "export" to the UK. This firm is active in Lagos and Abuja. "Packaging" means they register the Nigerian doctors for the exams, travel etc. He told me the Saudis and Australia also have similar agencies but he does not know their operations
4. Power is an issues, they spend a lot on power because they have to be operational 24/7
5. They increased salaries by 100%, and it was not enough. Staff wrote a memo and detailed just how much was the transportation cost to go to and fro work. In some instances, transport alone was 50% of new wages; keep in mind the hospital pay well above Nigerian standards. They had to redo the salaries and increase transport allowances
6. The hospital is making a net margin of just about 5%. they remain only because they want the investment to work, not just for ROI but because its a Legacy for them.
7. Back to staffing, he said the Nigerian government has to do something about the medical exodus. He says if there is no agreement , Nigerians will wake up and there will be no medical specialist left. One model is to have a formal emigration process where the receiving nation pays a "tax" back to Nigeria to enable the Nigerian government fund healthcare
8. its a good investment in Naira basis, the "losses" come when they convert to $. However their medical supplies are imported, so in effect they are paying their dollar obligations with naira revenues.
I have left somethings out, to avoid naming the hospital, they are not interested in any publicity
This is just one company in one sectors but the issues are systematic
English

@FinPlanKaluAja1 The doctors are not leaving just because of money. Nigeria just makes no sense. It doesn't provide them stable electricity, security, infrastructure or even a good working environment. Equipments are decades old, everywhere stinks. One high end hospital isn't going to keep them
English

@FinPlanKaluAja1 I hate hearing you people discuss doctors are though they are goods and not humans
What a way to encourage them to stay... by restricting their freedom of movement
It's disgusting to say the least and worse coming from you
English

@codewithindy Interesting... have you made a comparison with Claude sonnet, to see which is better
English

@nixcode1_ I was getting a complex grid made in Flutter with column resizing etc. o3 and 4o kept on going in the loop of “making mistakes-correcting and breaking something else”
And also making things up like packages and widget hierarchy.
O4-mini-high got things correct 95%time
