Just to be clear, in my heart of hearts I want nothing but the best for my siblings and relatives. We grew up together. We are the only ones here. Yes, we can disagree and debate fiercely, but nothing in my life will will ever change that. There is no hate here, only love.

With friends from Mombasa, we visited Bonnie at his home today to see how he was fairing. With 3 broken bones and a shattered body, Bonnie’s spirit is unbelievably strong and he can’t wait to get back to fighting for rights. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Through Prof. Ngugi wa Thiong'o words, he gave voice to the oppressed. Through his courage, he challenged systems. He taught us the power of language, memory and resistance. His stories live on in books, classrooms and in the hearts of generations. Rest in Power comrade!

Good people, I have no words🥹🥹 thank you for your support, concern and love. I am not okay but what a relief to be alive and back home! I still can’t believe @bonifacemwangi and I made it out alive. When 5 mean looking men and one woman pushed us into a very dark car where I almost sat on guns and very violently blindfolded us and drove off, I thought it was over! Anyway, I will say more later. Let me sleep some more. But I appreciate all of you❤️❤️ still overwhelmed by calls and messages, but I can’t respond to all of them for now.

A busy weekend it was for @MapinduziKE where we held a cell convergence that brings together different cells and organising sections of our movement on a monthly basis for shared learning and debate. This month's session was an inter-generational exchange titled 'geneaologies of resistance'. Cde @njukigithethwa and @NdungiGithuku shared about the history of people's organising for a more just and democratic society in Kenya (including the struggle for multi-partyism in the 1980's/1990's), and the historical responsibility that today's generation must respond to. Our responsibility at this moment is to translate these learnings to action. Mapinduzi yaja Kenya. #MapinduziKE

Gratified that the phenomenal Pheroze Nowrojee had as his last public engagements some most memorable interactions with the Gen-z and the vibrant social justice activists. That was indeed a seminal blessing for their future just weeks before his passing. Journey well, Pheroze 🙏

Over 10 peaceful comrades were unjustly arrested in Mombasa while holding a solemn vigil to honor the heroes we have lost since the start of the Gen Z protests. The arrests violate the fundamental right to peaceful assembly. We demand immediate release of all those arrested.
