ᴠɢɢᴛ ᴍɪʟᴇꜱᴛᴏɴᴇꜱ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʟᴀꜱᴛ 10 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ @nlcuganda today held the #VGGTAt10UG to learn from the decade of VGGT implementation in Uganda. Several achievements have been realised including the passing of the National Land Policy in 2013.

🖥️ɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ʟᴀɴᴅ ɪɴꜰᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ꜱʏꜱᴛᴇᴍ A National Land Information System was implemented from 2015 at a cost of $66 million covering mailo ownership, freehold and leases and largely in urban areas. #VGGTAt10UG

🐟ɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ꜰɪꜱʜᴇʀɪᴇꜱ & ᴀQᴜᴀᴄᴜʟᴛᴜʀᴇ ᴘᴏʟɪᴄʏ A progressive National Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy was passed in 2017 and efforts are currently underway to make required amendments to the very dated fisheries legislation. #VGGTAt10UG

.@nlcuganda platform brings together about 30 civil society organisations that are working with land and natural resource governance. And these include NGOs, civil non-governmental organisations, private sector, research institutions, media, academia, etc. #VGGTAt10Ug
