Would you permanently edit the DNA of cells in your liver in order to lower your LDL cholesterol and your risk of a heart attack? Eli Lilly spent $1 billion a year ago to Verve Therapeutics, a company founded by cardiologist and geneticist @skathire on just that idea. This morning early data on the company's new experimental gene editor were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and presented at the annual meeting of the European Atherosclerosis Society in Athens. The treatment lowered LDL, which we know causes heart attacks, by 62% -- about the same amount as 10 mg of rosuvastatin plus ezetimibe. But Kathiresan points out to my colleague Jason Mast that constant LDL-lowering should work better than a pill patients often stop taking. “I treated patients for about 20 years, and you know, patients ask me all the time whether they’ll be on cholesterol medicine for the rest of their lives,” Kathiresan said. “And I think with VERVE-102 for the first time, I can tell them maybe not.” Cardiologists say it will take time, data, and experience to know if this approach is right for some people. There were no treatment-related serious adverse events in the Phase 1 study — a notable finding, given that Verve had to shelve its first candidate due to safety concerns.

I thought you was one of the smart ones. I had high hopes. You All are about to let this man give you blue balls for the 3rd time. He gave you names the 1st time and it was a nothing burger. I can not wait until he names people who nobody knows or cares about. 14 years in Congress and he is banking his entire reputation on shit that will not do nothing for anyone.

🚨 Thomas Massie dropping nukes on the way out! He just said he will publicly read the names of Epstein’s elite clients before he leaves Congress. After years of the powerful protecting their own and the files being slow-walked and redacted, Massie is ready to name names from the floor. 😳 This could get very interesting. The elite pedophile network has been untouchable for far too long. What do you think..?? Will he actually do it? 👇

I didn’t want to say this out loud… but I can’t ignore it anymore. I regret my vote. I believed things would shift—toward peace, toward stability, toward putting the country first again. That’s not what’s happening. What I’m seeing now feels way too familiar… just rebranded. People aren’t getting relief—they’re getting squeezed harder. Prices aren’t easing—they keep climbing. And the global entanglements everyone promised would slow down? They haven’t. At some point, you have to stop defending a decision just because you made it. This stopped being about personalities for me. It’s about results. And the reality is… this isn’t what I voted for.

@CaryKelly11 It’s not a single time he’s disagreed. I trust God first and I still trust Trump. Since he is against Massie to this degree he has good reason. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one and stick to conversation about our love of God and a good cut of meat.

First off, I voted for Trump.... but Massie is against increasing the federal debt Massie is against kissing Israel's boot Massie is against pedophiles Massie is against giving Big Chem protection from poisoning Americans. I don't agree with everything Massie is for but I'm for more of this. These are four of the most important issues that few seem to care about in Washington. I pray that the American people don't lose this ally because it's clear to me what his priorities are: God Family The People The Party Tough shit if the party doesn't like it.

Join me tomorrow night for my victory party! To everyone who voted for me, donated to my campaign, volunteered your time, or kept me in your prayers, this night is for us to celebrate together. The event begins at 6 PM at the Marriott Cincinnati Airport. Vote, then come see me!

Well said! And on top of that the “Leader” tries to gaslight us into believing that they’re actually moving nominees forward when we can plainly see the GOP are obstructionists.
DataRepublican (small r)@DataRepublican

Hello Senator Thune, Wow. Just wow. Democrats didn't block Trump's nominees, @SenateGOP did. You had the majority. You failed. Republicans rejected Trump's picks. That's not on Democrats. We aren't Marxists; we believe in historical fact. And the fact is, you torpedoed @EagleEdMartin over manufactured outrage about January 6, while ignoring actual violence your constituents face. You don't get to revise the record. You own this. You talk about being the party of personal accountability. Stop attending lobbyist steak dinners and start showing it.

Robert Kennedy Jr. wants to do the most basic thing science can do - compare the health outcomes of vaccinated children to unvaccinated children using the largest medical database in America. That's it. That's the study. That's the scientific method. And the American Academy of Pediatrics is suing him to stop it. Think about what that means. Not content with blocking changes to the vaccine schedule, they are now going to court to prevent an investigation into whether the schedule is actually producing healthy children. The one question the entire program should have been answering for fifty years, and the people who run that program are fighting in federal court to make sure it never gets asked. This is an industry protecting itself from its own data. I am not accusing anyone in medicine of malice. I am saying that the long-term health investigation has never been done with the seriousness it deserves, and now that someone is finally trying to do it, there is a worldwide effort to shut it down before it starts. We have to do this study. We have databases right now, like the Henry Ford Health database, that could give us real answers. Every database in this country should be opened to this investigation. The scientific method demands it. The health of our children demands it. The only people who have something to fear from the truth are the ones fighting this hard to hide from it. - There’s lots of evidence they don’t do much - Many of us know people who’ve been injured by vaccines. - We don’t understand why if vaccines are so good, their manufacturers need liability protection - We don’t appreciate being locked down, forced to wear masks and disrupt our economies as a marketing project for vaccines - We don’t like to be told we will lose our jobs if we don’t take them - We don’t like to be told we can’t do our own research - Many of us haven’t taken them and seem to be doing just fine What did I miss?
Neil Stone@DrNeilStone

Why do some people have such a hard time accepting the immense good and millions of lives saved by vaccines over the decades? Why? What hurts them about that fact?

@ColonelTowner @PolkCountyFL @PolkCoSheriff I have been routinely saying I don’t trust our FL state GOP or many of our leaders including the governor or who he/they endorse. The swamp is deep here too. Other curriculum issues, and the home and auto insurance mess we have are additional examples.

2026: in the “free state of Florida” a private citizen organization had to sue .@PolkCountyFL school board to get pornography out of the children’s hands in public school. Yes, that’s the same county as .@PolkCoSheriff resides in amd keeps busy with arresting pedophiles routinely. They are grooming our children with access to pornography in school and the state has been derelict in stopping it. Opting instead, to leave it up to each county. This is in a state where the .@TheFLGOP .@FLGOPMajority has veto proof majorities in both bodies of the legislature and the Governor has been in office 8 yrs without fixing this and his Lt Gov is running to replace him after serving in the legislature for years. Florida made us challenge books in each county AFTER they were bought. Ask yourself how they were approved for purchase in the first place? Who writes this filth for children? Why won’t politicians protect our children? Oh and by the way my state rep is a Christian school teacher, her husband is on the Florida Supreme Court and she hasn’t done squat to fix this.
ColonelTowner-Watkins@ColonelTowner

.@cdfusa working hard: “A Polk County Schools Superintendent actually argued in open court that barring minors from evaluating pornographic books would violate the Parental Bill of Rights. By that logic, a permission slip should also get your 15-year-old into a strip club. Part 9 of the "It's Not Working" series is now "It's WORKING" and it tells the full story of how ordinary citizens in Polk County, Florida protected their children when the school board refused to act. Five years of citizen action. 117 books removed. Policies rewritten three times. A lawsuit that changed everything without winning in court. We may have lost the lawsuit. We won the war. But the fight is not over. Read the full article here: robertgoodman.substack.com/p/its-working-…

The erosion of trust in “science” isn’t primarily because people suddenly love conspiracies and hate progress. It’s because major pharmaceutical and chemical companies have repeatedly been caught committing fraud on a massive scale, and too many credentialed experts have been willing participants or silent beneficiaries. Pfizer alone paid a record $2.3 billion in 2009 (largest healthcare fraud settlement in DOJ history at the time): $1.3 billion criminal penalty for illegally promoting Bextra and other drugs off-label, plus $1 billion civil. They pleaded guilty to a felony. That wasn’t an isolated event; the industry’s total settlements and judgments run into the tens of billions over the past two decades. When physicians and scientists defend these companies without acknowledging the documented misconduct, kickbacks, ghostwriting, and selective data presentation, people notice. They don’t “run toward conspiracies.” They run away from institutions that have repeatedly put profits ahead of patients. Restoring trust starts with rigorous, independent science and honest accounting of conflicts, not shaming skeptics.
Simon Maechling@simonmaechling

The collapse of trust in science is going to go down in history as one of the most sad, bizarre, and destructive social contagions of modern times. We fed billions, cured diseases and powered nations - yet people ran toward conspiracies instead.

Have you figured it out yet? The Trump administration and Secretary Scott Bessent, with the help of DOGE, are tracking every single taxpayer dollar. Our entire government is a fraudulent money laundering system, set up and controlled by puppets taking orders from foreign masters. Our treasury has been stolen. The ENTIRE $38 trillion of government debt is FRAUD. FRAUD is a crime. From day one, Trump has been protecting the American people’s money. Bessent has been tracking the dollars and “gathering the evidence” for massive criminal indictments. They are only beginning to “drip out,” but a storm is on the horizon. The scale of this ENTIRE “sting operation” of TRANSPARENCY and then PROSECUTION, is going to blow people’s minds. And people are still worried about the midterms, while completely missing the transformation of everything, that is ALREADY happening. Buckle up and enjoy the show.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Agriculture Sec. Brooke Rollins reveals FOREIGN COMPANIES have been caught manipulating the American meat market The Trump admin is now cracking down on them to lower prices and stop the collusion 👏🏻 "Half of these meatpacking giants, including the largest meatpacker in the world, are either foreign owned or have significant foreign ownership and control, making them a threat not just to our cattle producers, but a threat to America itself." "And as time has gone on, it becomes more and more clear that food security is truly national security." "The brutal reality is that such foreign ownership of meatpackers has been affiliated not just with corruption, but also cartels and as recent as last week, slave labor, which is bad enough on its own, but it's also to the detriment of America's great independent ranchers and consumers." "Further, when just four firms control a market, suppliers and food prices are rocked heavily when disruptions occur." "President Trump is acutely aware of these challenges as evidenced by his true social directive last November, directing the Department of Justice to investigate the big four meatpackers for potential collusion and price manipulation. Ensuring these practices do not happen will protect both producers and consumers."

How do we feel about what Billie Eilish recently said about eating meat? “Two things cannot coincide. ‘I love animals, I love all animals so much,’ and ‘I eat meat.’” Actually, the two things can coincide: You can love animals and understand nature. You can respect life and still participate in the food chain. You can eat meat and care about how animals are raised, treated and slaughtered. You can give the animals that nourish you, their best life. The real contradiction is pretending your diet causes zero harm because the suffering is hidden behind monocropping, pesticides, habitat destruction, shipping and packaging. A cow on a regenerative farm is visible. The dead rabbits, birds, insects, mice, deer, soil life and ecosystems behind “cruelty free” food are conveniently invisible. So no, eating meat doesn’t automatically mean you don’t love animals. It may just mean you’re honest enough to admit that no matter how you eat, in order for us to live, something has to die. Welcome to earth, Billie.

We'll start you on a low dose of rosuvastatin once we've done some baseline bloodwork.
