In prespecified subgroup analysis, patients with prior stroke (~10% of all patients) had a 40% RRR and a 0.65% absolute risk reduction (NNT ~150). 🚨This is the first time a subgroup that would benefit more from EPD use has been identified🚨

You're not alone if trying to find physician information on insurance websites ends in frustration. Research by @nmbutala shows that less than 20% of information about physicians' addresses and specialties is accurate across five major insurers' databases. news.cuanschutz.edu/medicine/inacc…

Until a national provider data infrastructure is created, tech solutions like those developed by @Hilabs_Inc can help. Machine learning is perfectly suited to to cross-check info from different sources and solve what is fundamentally a system-wide information transfer problem.

It is also hard (and costly) for insurers to build and maintain accurate directories due to frequent changes and lack of a uniform standard. @CMSGov recently proposed creation of a National Provider Directory to solve this problem. federalregister.gov/documents/2022…
