I've done a deep dive into the original project of playing whale sounds to sick kauri trees. I'll post on it later, but for now, know this: it was based on Maori legends -whales and kauri trees were "brothers", from a time when whales walked the land.
Yep, over 4 million dollars of taxpayer's money was spent by academics from learning institutions on the idea that whales once had legs, and trees currently have ears. Let that sink in..
