I didn’t want to give this woman abuser a platform to grow his fans and to grow his bank account. My company champions women. I’m so sorry to everyone involved. Mostly to the undercard fighters, to my team at MVP and to my team who worked so hard prepping for this fight. Sacrificing time with loved ones and kids just for this fool to lose his unintelligent mind again. It’s scary that devilish men like this can rise to the top of culture and sports, including in positions of power. Banning Ren from wsop is absolutely egregious. Ban him from GGpoker that’s fine whatever. Wsop? He’s hurting no one and makes amateurs like myself at any stakes have a way better time! The guy is EXACTLY what poker needs in a live setting. This has to be reviewed before summer

Luigi Mangione was glorified by some as a hero for shooting a father and a husband in cold blood on the street. Some of those same people are celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk. If you are one of these people, take a deep look in the mirror and ask yourself how you got to the point where murder makes you giddy. Don’t “what about” me. Just seriously, ask yourself if this is the kind of person you want to be? Dig deep and try to pinpoint when and how it is that you lost your way, because make no mistake, you have lost your humanity. You are celebrating the murder of a father and husband because he said words you didn’t like or agree with. He wasn’t violent. He committed no crimes. He simply engaged those with diverse viewpoints and had open, civil dialogue. Your glee makes you ugly.

When I walked into the Irish Pub in Titusville, Florida for a night of bar poker, I had no idea that one evening would lead to a two-decade-long journey. Today, I’m here to share that this chapter of my life is coming to an end. After the Main Event at The Casino @ Dania Beach concludes on June 1st, I will be stepping down from my role as Executive Manager of the Moneymaker Tour. It’s hard to put into words what an incredible experience this has been. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Chris Moneymaker—the man who sparked the poker boom that first drew me into the game. Chris is not only a legend, but arguably the greatest living ambassador poker has ever known. I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity to have worked with him and helped build something truly special from the ground up. Through God’s plan, this journey has taken me to places I never dreamed I’d see before retirement and allowed me to meet countless amazing people along the way. I’ve grown immensely—professionally and personally—and I’ll carry the lessons and memories with me forever. As difficult as it is to step away, this decision is mine and made for deeply personal reasons. Most importantly, I want to be more present in my daughters’ daily lives. After years of chasing the “money bag,” I’ve come to realize that nothing is more valuable than time—especially time with them. They need my love, guidance, and support now more than ever, and I don’t want to miss another moment I can never get back. This summer, I’ll be in Las Vegas working with Ryan Kirk, Paul Campbell, and the team at Aria for their Poker Classic. After that, I’m excited to begin a new chapter with a successful business in South Florida. I’ll share more details about that when the time is right. I’m also excited to share more about a life dream of mine: to one day open mental health facilities focused on suicide prevention and mental health advocacy—causes that are deeply personal to me. As many of you know, I lost my brother to suicide in July 2014. What most don’t know is that I myself have struggled. Because of the sensitivity of this subject, I plan on sharing more at a later time through an article, podcast, or book—so it can be addressed with a warning for those who may be triggered by its topic sensitivity. I believe right now and more than ever God is moving me to speak more openly about my struggles in the hope that it might help someone else. If sharing my story prevents even one person from making a tragic decision, then it’s worth it. As I’ve said before, and will say again: It’s okay to not be okay. Seeking therapy or help—whether you’re a man or woman—is not a sign of weakness. I am living proof that God has a plan and purpose for each of us. We’ve all made mistakes in life and ridden the peaks and valleys, just remember you are not alone and you are worth it! If you ever need someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to message or call me. Sometimes, all we need is an ear to bend. Bottling up hate, anger, anxiety, fear, guilt, shame—or any other form of negativity—only harms our minds and our souls. I hope you, the players, will continue to support the Moneymaker Tour and its future stops. Strictly objective here - not Trump hating. He literally destroyed the US economy in the past 3 days. Even if he did a complete U-turn on tariffs and trade wars today, the mkt would bounce a ton, but the long lasting damage on the economy can no longer be averted. Recession coming now at a minimum. This is a total unforced disaster. Sad times.

Miami John’s son has asked me to speak to his friends in the poker community about his condition. He is at home surrounded by family, cared for by hospice, and by God’s grace, completely at peace. There will be no service now, but a Celebration of Life in June at the WSOP.
