In other words, the first four states to legalize showed a rise of 5% in monthly teen use in the decade around legalization (more like 8% if the states are weighted by size, as they probably should be). The US fell 8%. The @benconomics paper fails to capture this reality...

How about a longer period, @JAMAPediatrics. to catch legalization's effects more fully? Lucky us, @samhsagov has charted '09 to '17, bracketing legalization in the first four states:

The common goal should be education for age appropriate, and for basic human decency. Because some adults misbehave we do not ban those activities or products especially with health benefits
