@invest_ez If I have to pay for a carer for an elderly parent so that I can go to work, I pay for that from gross salary. If I have to have a child looked after so I can go to work it comes out of net salary. This makes no sense. Reasonable childcare costs should be tax deductible.

Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Detective Garda Ben O’Sullivan. Ben represented the best of An Garda Síochána, and we will never forget the bravery of Ben and his partner Dt Gda Jerry McCabe in the face of one of the most sickening attacks on servants of our State. RIP.
