@nokkron @helldivers2 Honestly surprised to see the negative reaction to this, people forget if problem happens that somebody doesn’t like person stops playing game. It’s not rocket science. I have plenty of friends who got sick of one thing or another and fully stopped playing leaving me to randoms.

1) There's a difference between stating an opinion and having an opinion. You're issue is that I HAVE an opinion because I haven't played the game in what, 3 months? 2) I'm not telling people to stay negative. I literally included in my original post that I welcome good changes and called the patch a W in another comment. I'm not saying don't enjoy good patches and to stay mad for no reason. I'm saying don't let Arrowhead fool you again because this has happened numerous times in the past where they make a PR patch to calm everyone down and then go right back to making the same decisions that frustrated people in the first place. x.com/nokkron/status…

I truly don’t understand the logic behind this “I don’t want people who aren’t actively playing the game to have an opinion”. Why do you think people (like me) have stopped in the first place? I’ve been playing since launch and only stopped because I’m exhausted with everything. If you think the problem is just people playing difficulty 10 and complaining because the hard mode is hard then I’m afraid you don’t actually know why people are upset.

The toxic positivity mindset.. I want the game to do better. I haven’t been playing it because of the state of the game. That’s how that works. You don’t get a game to do better by reinforcing negative behavior with your money and your time. If you do that, then what incentive do they have to actually change? All you’re trying to do is invalidate my point because I haven’t played in a couple months.. which makes zero sense.

GGG vs. Blizzard is definitely a good example as well, but I was specifically talking about Crimson Desert. At peak production, Pearl Abyss had only around 250 employees assigned to Crimson Desert. Starfield was more than double that + they had extra support from partner studios. For reference, they made Skyrim with only around 100 people. Then the studio grew a little larger for the release of Fallout 4 and the cracks began to show. Fast forward to 2023 for Starfield and its 500+ developers, and it's been the most poorly received game they pushed out (excluding Fallout 76 since that's an odd case).

@nokkron @khaliltooshort While your overall point is correct, Pearl Abyss employ more people than Bethesda. They are not a small studio. A better example is GGG (PoE) versus Activision Blizzard (D4).

This is gonna sound harsh but all these layoffs need to happen not just at Xbox but at all other AAA game studios The budgets are too big, too many meaningless jobs, too much reliance on streaming services, games take too long to make, and an overall abandonment of what made gaming great in the first place which is just making fun games for players and not their peers Things are always worse before they get better so I for welcome the reset that’s happening
