@alexutopia Imagine creating a robot that goes to the gym to lift weights for you... Then calling it a tool... 🤣 The weights get lifted, but neither you nor the robot gets stronger.

A real artist sees a new tool and asks: What can I do with this that nobody else sees yet? A threatened artist sees a new tool and asks: How do I stop other people from touching it? That difference tells you who was building and who was guarding a door.

Transactional motivation is the single biggest factor and distraction that makes a huge difference in the attitude of lot of people in Web2 vs Web3. In Web2, there are fantastic artists, even editors of magazines will reach out to you just for the love of art and appreciation. Here, like you said, monetary ambitions alongside some mysterious litmus tests you have to pass (that has nothing to do with art) oftentimes gives you artistic recognition.

Unpopular opinion: Monetization ruined this platform. From intentional misinformation and rage bait to AI slop, people out here trading their integrity for engagement.

The greatest satisfaction in my creative journey is I photograph what I love and it makes some of my viewers feel, smell and often teleports them into that moment in time that I photographed.

I love it when my photographs remind people of good things.
