Incredibly excited about the category of app @Euphoria_fi is building into. We label it "Consumer DeFi" in our app hub (Rabbithole), and it's the category I told Santi I was most excited about on Empire pod. @amiralmaimani has done an amazing job curating builders with a new vision for how users should interact with defi primitives. Nathan and Casey were that for options. Hitone is that for perps. Blitzo is that for payments. _____ is another take on that for options. MegaETH finally gives these builders the opportunity to create novel, consumer-first experiences without UX degradation. Very excited to start seeing these teams come to market both so they are validated and so others are inspired. Something this space has lacked for awhile now.

let’s check back once @worldmarketsinc , @hitdotone , @Euphoria_fi, @hellotradeapp , @blitzo , @userocket_app and the rest of the mafia are live on mainnet. the thesis remains that usdm adoption is downstream of novel apps. If the apps prove to be 10x better than what exists today, users will happily tolerate the additional friction to participate. flywheel eventually compounds from there

The reason I’ve spent the past couple years building MegaETH, through the highs and lows, is simple: I believe it’s Ethereum’s answer to Solana and other high-performance L1s that chose centralization to win on speed. and to be fair, it worked. in my eyes, over $100B of value rotated out of ETH because users couldn’t get the performance they wanted. I remember being shocked that Solana, despite being more centralized than Ethereum, felt far more performant than Base. MegaETH changes that. we’re showing performance on mainnet that no L1 will ever achieve. it’s only possible because we inherit Ethereum’s security. MegaETH is bringing performance back home.

作为投资人最自豪的是自己的 deal 投的不错，尤其是最早的投到了别人当时都不认可的 deal。证明自己是对的是很强的正反馈。 2023 年2月，Yilong 在 LinkedIn 上问我要不要加入他做一个超快的 EVM 系统，当时他只有一个人。作为搞 DB 出身的研究员，我对这种极高性能，低延迟的系统的设计一直都充满兴趣。 当时刚刚转成 Part-time PhD，我觉得没办法全职做事会影响项目的进度，于是我没有选择加入，顺手介绍给了当时正在兼职看项目的基金：ABCDE。于是，最近几年有些曲线的职业路径，就从投资 MegaETH 开始了。从失败PhD到 abcde part-time intern，到合伙人，到现在来了 labs。 MegaETH 是我从早期发现，投资，到投后，到退出完整的经历全流程的 Deal，做了一些微小的工作，招聘了一些不错的工程师（最自豪的是变相的给mega送了一个世界级的设计师 ），介绍了一些投资人。 整个过程的能学到的启发就是：一级投资的成功，全靠 Founder 跟投资人关系不大，投资人不要太自我感动，能做好副驾驶不添乱就不错了。Founder 是比投资人强的，做投资是个偷学 Founder 技术的好机会。 现在一二级市场正在动态平衡，作为没有 Conflict of Interest 的老朋友，希望 Mega 一切顺利。

On the topic of copy trading: The downside of copy trading is that you have no control once you decide to copy a trader. Instead- we designed clones so that you don't just copy the trades, you copy the actual strategy itself. Each Clone has the trader's behavior and strategy baked into its workflow. This enables you to take a proven successful bot from the leaderboard, tweak it, and apply it to the specific assets that you want.
