Lost in the background of the horrific murder of Alex Pretti is that an ICE agent walked up to a woman who was actively backing away from him and shoved her with two hands, sending her sprawling backwards onto an icy sidewalk. He then tries to pepper spray her while she is prone on the ground.
There is no justification for this physical violence against her. She isn't resisting arrest and she isn't threatening the agent. He crossed the street to physically attack her.
This is not normal. This is not ok. Law enforcement cannot physically assault citizens on the street. Any police officer who did this would lose their job.
We've seen countless examples of ICE initiating physical violence with no justification. This cannot be normalized.

First, the mother of a 6 year old child. Now, an ICU nurse to veterans. Both shot at nearly point blank range.
All without reflection or remorse. People will not forget this.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list: A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid. This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border. The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.

BREAKING: A new video of ICE murdering the man in Minneapolis today shows a clear view of what happened from the front angle.
If anyone has the identities of the ice agents who shot this man, please DM me.
The apparently innocent man, who had a license to carry a firearm was merely recording ICE agents, and then ICE began pepper-spraying a young woman next to him. The man then goes to try and pull the young woman to safety when ICE tackles him.
Then multiple agents begin beating on him before shooting and killing him.
This is cold blooded murder!

The Jockey Club initiative to create a rating system is an idea that I have advocated for. However if it’s not done corrrctly, it will fail.
You can’t just use Equibase speed figs as a measurement, that will be a disaster. You need to do something along the lines of a Timeform rating using many different measurements blended into a formula that assigns a specific ratings number to a horse that will obviously be on a sliding scale.
Using a blended figure allows for less manipulation (one poor race won’t plunge a horses rating) and a greater chance of competitive fields. Also there should be a central, national office that assigns and adjusts the figures, NOT the racing secretary or office so that the big outfits can’t exert pressure on them (it happens and we all know it).
What also has to happen is that this needs to be sold to the horsemen who will certainly be skeptical at the beginning. For smaller outfits, this is a lifeline of sorts as you can enter without fear of losing a good, money earning horse PLUS you are matched against horses of like ability. No supertrainer drop downs allowed.
Alas I’m skeptical that the ratings used will just not be good enough and I’m hoping that some independent voices are brought in to pick it apart and try to eliminate as many potential pratfalls as possible because in reality we are only going to get one chance at this and it could be a real positive if it is successful.

Was talking about this with my Denver friend and he said "If I saw something that great (AE's performance), even as a fan of the other team, I'd be having fun enjoying greatness." Sure enough, a Minnesota fan delivered on this with @BeMore27's heave. Kudos to you, TWolves fan!
