Bit of a gotcha if you're using the new Compose Compiler DSL. It doesn't seem to turn on `includeSourceInformation` by default, which then breaks Layout Inspector. Easily fixed with the code, but you need to do it manually.

Have you tried “UI Check” mode in Compose Preview yet? Activate “UI check” mode for Android Studio to automatically audit your Compose UI and check for adaptive and accessibility issues across different screen sizes. Learn more → goo.gle/405Ko1G

Does creating Image Asset -> Launcher Icon in Android Studio fail to create the right icon for anyone else? I have never been able to get this working in months without me fixing the files afterwards.

@eric_ampire What version of Studio are you using? What's the error being displayed in the error panel?

@banmarkovic Do you have any specific bugs that we can look into? Is it performance? Broken previews? Both? We'd love to know more to improve them for everyone.

#AndroidDev s are complaining about the instability of #JetpackCompose previews, while the 10+yo View preview can still do this randomly when copying a TextView and changing its ID... 🤷

@The_Trakx @csinco @theapache64 Making it as fast as XML is challenging because of the compilation step. The same happened when you had custom views in XML. As Chris mentioned, we are very much focusing on finding ways to make this faster and avoiding compiling as much as possible.
