🎨 The color picker just leveled up. Webstudio now supports all modern CSS color spaces - HSL, HWB, OKLab, OKLCH and more. Plus: colors with CSS variable (e.g. rgb(r g b / var(--opacity))) are now fully parsed and preserved.

With a recent client, I tested a new internal tool, which is like Tinder but for design taste. It shows 26 logos in the client's selected industry, and they swipe on the ones they hate or love. It spits out the top 3 most loved and top 3 most hated logos, a taste profile and average decision time, + a bunch more details. The point is to make the love/hate exploration automatic and fun. Either this will be part of every onboarding or just another tool I never touch again. Haven't decided yet.

If I lost everything and had to start my business from scratch... + I'd focus purely on socials, no website. Just a booking link in the bio. + A 45-question Google Form, a kickoff call template, and a love-hate exploration. That would be the entire foundation. + Next, I'd get one project that I'd be proud to put on my socials. Even if it's free. Even if it's for my mum. + Once the project would be done, I'd be milking it for months on social media. + Talk about the process, the thinking, post full brand guidelines, just the logo, just the mockups etc. Every part of the brand would go online. + I'd do tons of engagement, talk with founders, and build a network just to stay top of mind.
