When a witness found her being molested by "a bunch of Qassam members" in a tent in Deir al-Balah and reported it, he was told to keep quiet. A separate account describes Hamas's own charity organizations blackmailing women for sex in exchange for a food parcel or 100 shekels. Meanwhile the UN reports at least 400 girls aged 14-16 were registered as married over just four months in 2025 — and that's likely a fraction of the real number.
