@DKostanjsak I agree: he can’t be good at everything. Problem is he is outright bad at times. He has lapses of focus and genuinely forgets how to defend at times — the 0-4 vs Atleti was glaring. Happy to give him more time but he’s not untouchable like Pau, Lamine, Gavi, Pedri, Joan etc.

Selling Balde would be reactionary at best and downright insane at worst. His toolkit is elite even without the added final third efficacy & more than enough to be a world class full-back. How many full-backs are big athletes and defenders but also can delete the whole line of opposition pressure in a single uninterrupted run? Barcelona have struggled to platform him because they often depend on him doing too much. That's a structural flaw more than individual, though.

Jag TYCKER han är lite för svag i försvarspelet för den höga backlinje Flick vill använda sig av, dessutom tycker jag att han sett ännu trögare ut i vändningarna sista tiden. Det kan bero på skadekänning eller liknande, omöjligt utifrån att veta. Jag TROR att han kommer bli långsammare de närmsta 3 åren redan och OM Barca ska spela med så hög backlinje så är det kanske bättre att sälja på Hypen? DET är den teoretiska tanken. Cubarsi är väldigt bra med bollen, men jag tror det kommer att vara ganska lätt att ersätta det med spelare som kommer upp de närmsta åren. Det innebär inte att jag inte gillar Pau, bara att jag försöker se nyktert på det och se affären i det. Risken är att han sitter på bänken om 2 år till ett mycket lägre marknadsvärde
